[ The red pegasus looks like she’s just barely staying awake, nodding off against her spear, but she’s just conscious enough to send out a message. ]

Would everypony… ugh, would everyone please keep an eye out for…

[ She rubs her eyes. ] Okay, I know saying “watch for something unusual” doesn’t really… work, around here. Look, it’s just that there’s a witch in the area, okay? We think its headquarters is the chair shop in the Night Market but we haven’t ever seen her.

And there’s only so much patrolling I can do at night, so… if yer on the Night Market, especially.

Alrighty, I'll be there in a jiffy! Just don't go anywhere.

[Not that he's really worried about that, what with the state she's in.

He rolls up the scroll and in about a jiffy or two, Teddie's running into the market on all fours, looking out for Kyouko. He probably should've asked where she was in the market...]

[ Kyouko's sitting on a roof, looking like she's about to fall off. Eventually she sees the bear sprinting through the streets. ]

Hey. [ She would have yelled louder, but she's kinda beat. She waves to Teddie. ]

[Thankfully he hears her and slides to a stop the moment he does. He's happy to see she didn't get eaten, or cursed, or whatever it is witches are doing these days. That would just ruin everything.]

Now if you'd puh-lease~ come down here for a sec.

[ Kyouko's just fine, just exhausted. She slides off of the roof and lands by the bear, her wings flaring out to slow her descent. ]

Okay. Whadder ya gonna do?

[Perfect. Teddie gives a thumbs up with his paw before beginning.]

Just stand still and let Teddie do all the work.

[That said, he takes a step back and literally out of nowhere there's just a tarot card floating in front of him. It doesn't seem to matter because he swats at it the moment it appears, causing it to shatter like glass and the area around him to furiously glow a bright blue. As if tarot cards weren't enough, a much larger bear materializes above Teddie, floating in a manner in which most bears do not. This new bear raises his blade covered paws in the air, which causes the area around Kyouko to start glowing as well.

Is that a healing spell? That's definitely a healing spell. A healing spell being cast by a floating bear in a tiny red cape with its face stuck in an incredibly creepy smile. Make of it what you will.]

[ Kyouko is a little uneasy being on the receiving end of this, but she forces herself to stand still regardless. She has to remember that the bear is doing something nice. For no good reason except to be nice. Which seems to be fairly common around here.

Doesn't stop her legs from vibrating a little in anxiety, though. But she'll deny that. ]

[Once the spell is finished, everything stops just as fast as it happened. Kamui disappears like he wasn't even there, and Teddie can't help but be all smiles. Hooray, he's being helpful! Sensei would be so proud.]

So ...how do you feel? You gotta tell me if it worked.

[ She feels... refreshed, actually. Like she doesn't need to sleep again. She gives a flap of her wings to rise up in the air, and does a quick loop-de-loop.

Yeah, she's back in full form. ]

Great. Ya did good. Thanks.

[ She grins and offers him a bar of chocolate she has on him. ] Name's Kyouko.

[Woah, free chocolate! Teddie takes it eagerly and begins snacking on it right away. If he knew he'd get free candy out of it, he'd help people more often.]

I already knew your name, Kyo-chan.

Wh- oh yeah.

[ How many bears helping out with Bon Bon's candy store are there, again? Wow, she must really be out of it. ]

Didn' know ya could do that.

[He hesitates, unsure what to make of that. His clingy ways made him believe that they were instantly best friends after their first conversation, but then he had to remind himself that's not how those sort of things work. Obviously if he's that forgettable. Which is fine, of course, he just jumped the gun. Either way, he's still happy he could help her out.]

R-Right. Well, I told you, remember? I fight monsters, too.

[Or, well, he hopes she remembers. It might not be the case.]

I gotta fight them somehow, my good looks can't save me all the time. Heehee...

Ya... shouldn't be. Yer too young.

[ She pulls out some fudge of her own and stuffs some into her mouth. Least awkward magical girl pony. ]

Grr, I'm a man!

[Why does everyone keep saying he's young? He never had this problem before...]

Yer a bear. A teddy bear, at that.

[ She ruffles him on the head a bit. ] But uh, thanks for the heal, anyway. [ It's hard for her not to worry about a young kid going out into battle... ]

[That gets a frustrated look out of him as he tries to fix his hair and bring it back to its perfect condition.]

Nngh... Sure, I'm a bear, and my name is Teddie, but I'm telling you the truth. This place just made me short!

[He will fight this or so help him.]

...But you're welcome. You might not remember me, but you're still my friend. I'll heal you whenever you want.

[Especially if she has to fight scary witches. He'd be a terrible friend if he didn't.]

Don't do that, I remember ya. Jesus. It was a mistake, okay? Don't give me a hard time about that.

[ Why is she defensive about this, ugh. ]

I just... ya shouldn't make this a game. As long as yer not, fine.

... How old are ya, anyway?

[His turn to be defensive.]

But I never made it a game!

[At least, he didn't think he did. Sadly, he doesn't get much time to think about it because he goes blank the moment she asks him his age.]

That's not what it sounded like. [ "My good looks can't save me all the time." ]

{ She frowned at the second part. ] How can ya not know?

[That's not a game, that's super serious. His good looks really can't save him all the time.]

Uh, w-weeeell... [His eyes drift off to the side.] There's no way to tell time where I'm from.

[ Uh, that's weird. ]

[ This catches her off guard. ] Y'are not.

[And he backs up his claim by childishly waving his arms around.]

[ She says this quite reasonably and sits down on her haunches to get more level with him. ] Because if yer like anyone I know then yer like my sister, an' she's younger than me.

Nnngh, cut it out!

[Now he's the same as a little sister? Oh the bearmanity.]

I was just like my friends back when they were human, and they were in high school! That's the highest of schools! So at the bear-y least, I'm like them.
