(There's a confused pink alicorn on the other end of the scroll, turning her head as if she's looking for something in particular.)

Ponyville wasn't like this a moment ago...

(She leans towards the green dragon by her side.)

Aria? I think we went back in time...

(She doesn't seem to notice the scroll until a changeling paws at it and brings it to the alicorn's attention, who seems surprised by its appearance.)

Oh! Is this a magic scroll? A recording magic scroll?

(The creatures by her side don't seem very sure of the answer, so instead of question in, the princess of love composes herself and smiles.)

Well, if that's the case, then hello, everypony! I'm Princess Cadence. I'm not sure what's going on in this Equestria, but if I still have my Pokemon, then something must be wrong. I thought they were left behind in Johto...

(She shakes her head.)

In any case, I hope you're all doing well, especially you humans, if you're here, too. Switching from quadrupedal to bipedal isn't easy and I can' imagine the reverse is any easier.

(The princess laughs lightly.)

...That is if there even are humans here. I hope it's not another incident like the one in Johto...

(True to her word, Cadence is waiting by the aforementioned cafe for her auntie.)

[Celestia shows up shortly after Cadence arrives. It's abundantly clear that this is not the Celestia that she left those months ago, if it wasn't already obvious by the clothes. While she does have that important air about her, it's far from regal.]

Hello, dear. Now, where shall I begin?

(There is definitely something different about her. She did say she's not local to this Equestria, so maybe she went to another foreign world before coming here?

Regardless, Celestia is still her aunt and Cadence happily greets her with a hug.)

How about whichever spot is most convenient? I would say the beginning, but I don't know if that's been uncovered yet.

[Celestia accepts the hug graciously. It's been too long, niece.]

I will start with what is going on here first, then.

[She takes a moment to create some privacy measures, a small field of magic to isolate sound to keep away any potential eavesdroppers before she begins.]

This Equestria is currently under invasion by a figure known as the Pale Pony. We do not know her motives or ultimate goal, but we do know she is powerful; moreso than all of the local princesses. From what we know, we can guess that she is some sort of rogue embodiment of the Element of Magic, and that she has consumed at least one other Equestria, as we have one survivor from there here.

Our being brought here is of her doing, as well. It seems to be experimentation on her part, but that is entirely conjecture. There have been other unexplained incidents as well, which give that conjecture evidence, but we still need to know more. There is currently an expedition in the ruins of Stalliongrad to that end, so I would suggest getting a hold of them if you wish to see what they have figured out.

(Cadence listens to this new information attentively. At least that explain how she and the others got here. It's alarming to imagine a beast powerful enough to do that in addition to devouring entire Equestrias. This is a foe stronger than any she's encountered before and that scares her. However, she's likely pulled in heroes from other worlds, right? They'll surely be of great help.

Cadence nods.)

Who should I contact to ask about that?

The expedition is being led by Twilight. One of the three present, at least.

[Celestia never did think to find a way to verbally distinguish between all of them.]

With her are two other researchers, Minako Aino and Patchouli Knowledge. I do not know when they will return, but I don't doubt they will find something of value.

(It's good to know that there are researchers dedicated to going out into the field to find answers and that Twilight isn't going alone. She's a great mare, but she's at her best with frie--

The Pale Pony seems quite fond of bringing ponies from other Equestrias and beyond here. There is the Twilight native to this Equestria, one that comes from a digital world, and one that is Twilight in everything but name, and comes from a human land.

There are also three Lunas present, two of myself, and now I imagine two of you, though your native self is most likely busy in the Crystal Empire.

That sure is a lot of us. And there's probably others, too. Still, there were never any multiples I knew of in Johto; I wonder why the Pale Pony is doing this.

...That hasn't been discovered, has it?

We can make guesses, but only just. Hopefully we shall know in due time.

Speaking of which...are you staying here in Ponyville? I can't imagine Canterlot not letting you stay there, if you didn't want to.
