[Lyra laughed lightly, clapping her hooves.] I would love to share some! This world might seem scary and/or brightly lit but I assure you it is wonderful.

Oh, uh...yes I was. I guess I can imagine why you'd want to study humans, if they're not part of this ecosystem. I'm actually pretty interested in studying the natives, wildlife and history here myself - we certainly don't have talking ponies back on earth.

Mirror incident?

Well it's not just that I'd want to study them! I'm fascinated by them, and their hands. It's really quite incredible.

Yeah, everypony who wasn't a pony got turned back into their native forms. We had humans, robots, all sorts!

[Ami looks down at a hoof and then back up at the scroll.]

It's certainly surprising the way that we take something so very specific to our anatomy for granted, until we can no longer use it. It's taking me a long time to adjust and stop trying to move 'imaginary' fingers around an object.

It's strange - I've heard my mother talk about people who have had limbs or extremities amputated. She said that often those people still feel the missing limb, hand or finger. I guess I'm experiencing a similar feeling.

Really? What caused that to happen? If it's happened once, surely that means there's a way to replicate the circumstances to return everyone to their proper identity permanently.

Well there's also the fact that hooves are very flexible, and if you have magic from being a unicorn it's like having a whole set of extra limbs too. That being said, we can grab things with our mouths too if we really need it.

Ah, well Princess Celestia broke this magic mirror and apparently the resulting effect caused everypony to return to normal. Although I was already normal to begin with.

Yes, I'm still trying to master the use of the..er..unicorn horn? It's been a challenge, and I've been reading as many books as I can find on the subject.

Why did Princess Celestia break the mirror if everyone had returned to their normal state? Isn't that counter productive?

And we got invaded by other dimensional beings, some kind of monster maker and her group. So we had to break it to stop them.

Well I've been working on a polymorphism spell lately, but the best I can do is minotaur right now. Sadly it's not perfect but I can get hands for a short period of time!

Hmm, well there's a lot of different floors with different little items and such. There's floors devoted to places like say the Precures, or the Kamen Riders, other places like standard dungeon crawl stuff like Ogres and Obulettes too.

Given that I haven't seen any computers here, I assume you're referring to the biological version of polymorphism rather than the programming one.

I imagine that would take immense concentration and power to achieve a full body transformation though, am I correct? Certainly it would be difficult to perform, and sustain, on a multitude of individuals...

Yeah, polymorphism is a transformative spell. And actually we have ONE computer, I dunno how Pinkie Pie manages to keep it charged up though.

It would, probably far more power than I can manage. Maybe Twilight, the Princess not the Unicorn could do it, but I wouldn't rule out ANY of the Twilights being the Element of Magic.

Oh they're superheroes. Precures are magical girls, and Kamen Riders are armored warriors who ride on bikes.

[Ami perks up at this. After extensive searching, she'd given up on computers existing in this world, figuring the technology hadn't been developed yet.]

So anything from another...um...superhero story or world can be found in the archives? [Ami is worried - what if there was something that could be used for evil? What if an alternate version of the moon crystal was there?]

I honestly don't mind it! I came from a scholarly family so I know how it can get sometimes. That being said, I can show you all my notes. At least those are still around. [And she'd have to go organize them too.]
