It's your birthday, just us and your birthday! [Private action to Morgan]
It was a lovely Tuesday eve as the couple exited the building nuzzled up against each other, neither really caring what other ponies thought as they laughed in tandem at some joke shared. It felt nice to laugh like this, especially considering the day before...but it wouldn't do any good to stay in and worry herself to sickness again. She did wish it had come at another time, but...hopefully Mae would be back soon. Until she returned, all Nephenee could do was go forward, and that included going ahead with plans made more than a bit ago. Besides, her coltfriend had a birthday to celebrate, so she'd do her best to help him with that, even if this was the night before. The party would be tomorrow, but she'd stolen him away tonight for some time alone, away from prying eyes...
Well, maybe not that last one, since they got looked at anyway. Whispers about how cute it was or something floated about, but her mind was very much focused on her Knight. She'd surprised him with not only the fact that she'd pretty much tackled him to the ground in a hug when she'd met him outside the dojo, but the little black dress, tail wrap, and overall simple, but radiant look had gotten a great reaction too! Neph knew Morgan liked black and he liked leg and he liked how she wore her dresses, so she just combined them, then whisked him off for dinner and dancing and anything he really wanted to do -within reason.
Her heart still pounded from the physical exertion of the dancing, or perhaps just being this close to him kept it at such a rate, but she was rather happy right now, even if it was tinged with a little melancholy, and she couldn't help but be a little happier knowing he'd love his other gifts. Because apparently, a bag-of-holding and a custom lance weren't enough for her to give!
She liked spoiling friends, alright? Plus the main one was from the family, so.
Sneaking a kiss to his cheek, the Sentinel sighed happily. This night was quite wonderful.
"So, enjoyin' your birthday yet, my Knight?"

At least he wasn't about to mess with his chi and gain a few limbs, since then, Neph'd actually be skittering away for real. For all the joking, past circumstances meant she rather didn't like spiders much...

"A-Ah...y-ya ain't..supposed to a-actually e-eat me..!" She didn't even realize why she was going so red, just that it felt nicer than she'd imagine that sort of thing might. "R-rascally!...brat!"

Poor Nephenee, she was so very unsure of how to take this. On the one hoof, it felt nice! On the other hoof, it felt nice, and she could feel her body getting hotter for whatever reason, and this was foreign and the Sentinel had to concentrate to not get lost in a fog. Not the place!

But why did the room feel so warm... "It's...real hot in here...m-maybe we should turn the air down..."

"Awful Spider Morgan, treacherous Spider Morgan." She giggled at the nudge, bonking her head against his, and dropping to all fours after. "Well, this fly still gotta give the spider his other presents. So he should probably close his eyes or somethin' so she can give 'em to him."

Once she was quite satisfied Morgan wasn't using it or peeking, she whisked a small globe of Earth out, and, sitting in front of him, activated it with a tap. It started to float over her hoof, and the mare smiled. "Alright, ya can open your eyes."

"It's Earth! Ah got it made for ya...Ah mean," She rubbed the back of her neck a bit sheepishly, "Ah don't gotta thing for your other home world, but still had an earth map on my PDA so...hopefully it's good, though?" Nephenee couldn't help feeling a little awkward at that look, but she was hopeful that Morgan liked it.

"Now I can show you where I'm originally from!"

Neph craned her neck to see where Morgan gestured, squinting. Crud...which was that? She remembered Colorado was one place he'd mentioned, but so was...Pennsylvania? Right, that one, the one that reminded her of Dracula.
Running through pretty much everything she remembered of the map she'd seen, she looked half-hopefully, half-helplessly at him. Too many states! "Uh...Pennsylvania?" She had a 50/50 chance, she supposed.

"Are Colorado an' Pennsylvania real different? Like, how it looks an' how the folks are?" They were so far apart, it seemed, so...maybe? Given that Nephenee'd never been to the States, she might have been thinking more on the lines of them being almost like different countries.
Or... "Or...is it more like duchies? Lots o'similarities, but it's got a lotta differences too?" That was the worst way to describe it, but she wasn't entirely sure how to phrase it; truth be told, she felt a little lost. Government was not a strong subject for her.

She thought about that, thought about the view and beauty of the mountains they'd been up in not too long ago. "That sounds like it'd be wonderful...Before we went up a bit ago, Ah'd not been up in mountains much when it wasn't for fightin'. Didn't get to really appreciate the view then." Which was a pity; it was hard to take in the beauty of nature when people were rolling boulders down said mountain to try to kill you.
