Kickoff [Video/Massive Audio later]
[A green pony with a matted down brown mop-top appears on the scroll. From the furrowed brows, flared nostrils and fierce grimace, she does not appear... pleased.]
WHAT THE TARTARUS IS GOING ON HERE!?
[Taking a step away from the scroll would probably be a good idea...]
I can't even begin to count all the things that is wrong here! I mean, at first I thought this was a dream but then when somepony actually pinched me -- WITH THEIR MOUTH NO LESS -- I knew that this was actually real. Talking ponies? And the ones with wings? EVEN ONES WITH MAGIC HORNS?? I even saw one that brought in a raincloud! IT WAS RIGHT ON TOP OF ME!!
[She takes a moment and her hoof comes up to scrub off her hair and her face.]
Alright... you know what... considering everything else I have seen before a world of talking ponies is actually not that out there. And, hey, at least my fur color is one that I'd like. Just, in this case, I hope my friends aren't here to have this happen to them.
Also, I have to ask just one question...
Why couldn't I have been one of those cool ones with the wings?
EDIT:
[A little bit later there is a shout. A glorious shout. A mighty shout. It rings to the heavens and may even be heard as far as way as The Crystal Kingdom.]
WHAT DO YOU MEAN PONIES DON'T EAT MEAT?!!!!
[Thanks, Teddie.]
EDIT: x2
[And a little bit after that there is another shout, though not quite as powerful, whatever is doing it definitely has a healthy set of lungs.]
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NO TV?!!
[Thanks, Rise.]

That's true.
Speaking of which, my name is Vergil. It's nice to meet you.
it's a good thing he's a dragon or that look might make her skip a beat
[And that's all he's getting.]
I'd say it was nice to meet you but... I'm still not sure how I feel about talking to dragons.
No offense.
[Even with the consideration from the freakout, she still wasn't about to let her guard down... too much.]
haha, right? he's kind of a babe, even if he is emotionally on pluto.
None taken -- that's an understandable reaction to have.
I can switch to text if you'd prefer. Unless it's the concept itself that's troublesome, in which case I can wish you good luck and sign off, if you'd be more comfortable with that.

[And see their body language. She's learning a lot just watching both of these sons of Sparda. But she won't be telling them that.]
no subject
That is a good point, though. It's always better to know who you're dealing with. Though from what I can tell, behavior differs from dragon to dragon. It seems like they're usually known for being greedy, territorial and hostile, so being cautious is a good move.
[Of course, he doesn't seem to be any of those things. Judging by the fact that he's mentioned a roommate that wasn't a ghost, he doesn't seem particularly territorial. He doesn't have a whole lot by way of a gem horde, either, and he's been anything but hostile, since he's had no reason to be.
His body language, too, has been unassuming. Poised and refined, even while doing something as casual as the dishes, but far from threatening.
Even if he knew how closely he was being studied -- and, as someone that frequently does that very thing, he may already have an inkling -- he wouldn't mind. The only way to protect yourself is to be aware of your surroundings, so the fact that she seems to want to learn more about him rather than turning away in fear actually makes him respect her.]

[Not that she trusts him as a rule, but that at least paints a picture of how he wants to be perceived.]
no subject
I'm nowhere near as outgoing as my brother, but personable enough to work in a tea shop. Trust isn't something I give freely, so getting attached to people isn't exactly something I'm known for. I like my space and I generally keep to myself.
That said, if you want to learn how to wield a katana, control magic or meditate, I've got enough patience and knowledge in those areas to be a decent teacher.
[There's a pause as he finishes his chore, setting the last cup aside before returning his attention to her.]
And you? How would you describe yourself?
no subject
Not very impressed?
[Chie, don't try to rile the dragon...]
no subject
I only answered what I was asked.
Do you intend to do the same, or should we just change the subject?
no subject
And, really, you didn't tell me anything that you liked about yourself.
[That was "Vergil, the thing," and not really "Vergil, the person," yo.]
no subject
I did, actually. Everything I listed is something I like about myself. I like that I'm unbiased enough to not be offended by much. I like that I'm not hostile, when I very well could be. I like that I'm not inclined to get attached to people quickly, so that when I do, it's something that's been earned. I like that I'm both skilled and patient enough to teach others how to better handle things that may be overwhelming to them, so that they don't make the same mistakes I have.
[True, but usually if you ask Vergil the person to describe "Vergil, the person", you get "Vergil, the thing". He's not the best at the whole opening up deal.]
If there's something specific you'd like to know, you're free to ask. Otherwise, you're more than welcome to give me an example of how I should have answered.
[Meaning, you still haven't answered anything about yourself, yo.]
no subject
So... you're not normally a dragon?
[See? Total whiff.]
no subject
I'm not, but the form isn't too foreign.
no subject
[You can thank Dante and her good memory for that.]
no subject
Then he remembers seeing Dante on the scroll in response a bit earlier.]
Yes, I'm a half demon. Dante's twin brother, actually.
no subject
[Beat.]
But you guys act totally different.
