16th New Dream [Visual] - Backdated to after the Canoe event

[Wanna see something pathetic, folks? Here's a scene of Nozomi just munching away on chocolate, all depressed. She was one of the ones who was all "Let's win medals!" and even participated in an event.

And got last place. Even worse is that she sugar crashed at the last leg and passed out. In her mind, she embarrassed herself AND embarrassed her Cure teammates.

Another notch to the things Nozomi fails at.

Huh?! [Nozomi looks around before noticing the scroll and Mami, looking back at the chocolate.]

...oh. I screwed up again.

[Time to reassure.]

You did as good as you can, so there shouldn't be any sorrow. I have a feeling you'll place at least third next time! I'm sure of it.

Are you sure? I-I mean...

[She puts her hooves in her face]

Last place... oh, I know Rin would be disappointed in me back home!

[Nozomi looks back over to the scroll, eyes blinking, on the verge of tears.]

[Mami nods.]

Really. I'll make sure to help you win for next time!

[Nozomi smiles widely at that, wiping away her tears.]

Mami... th-thank you...!

[Hey, what are ~~horribly lonely and emotionally unstable~~ mentor figures for?]

There's a smile! How about I come over for tea for a while?

[~~And they can keep each other company and make each other happy!~~]

Great! I'll be over as soon as I can.

[With that, Mami closes the scroll and makes her way over to where Nozomi is.]

[And as Mami ends her end, Nozomi finally puts away her scroll and waits for Mami. Once she shows up, she quickly waves her over to a table with plenty of chocolate around her.]

[When Mami arrives and sees the chocolate, she chuckles a little.]

My, you're quite the chocolate lover, aren't you? Mind if I have one?

[Nozomi grins sheepishly, looking away.]

They were just too good and when I lost I... got carried away. You can have some if you want!

[She searches around for what she believes is a good piece of chocolate Once she finds it, she makes her way to the kitchen.]

I'll make the tea. What kind do you want?

Ah... I'll just have what you'll have! No need for two separate kinds!

[Mami simply nods and starts the tea up. Calling out from the kitchen, she decides to make conversation whilst waiting for the tea to finish.]

...You weren't bad for your first time in the Olympics. I probably wouldn't have done as good as you did in the canoe race.

You think? [she slumps a bit.] I certainly wouldn't of cheated and used my powers, but it could of helped if I could use my magic, though...

[Isn't that the same thing, silly?]

To be honest, I thought I wouldn't have gotten the gold medal at archery.

[Even though her appearance was calm, she was sort of freaking out on the inside.]

[Mami pauses. If she tells Nozomi just how lonely she feels all the time, they might become friends. Don't get her wrong, she WANTS to feel like she has true friends. However, she... doesn't want her friends taken from her like what had happened the last two times with Kyoko and Madoka.

...Mami will just smile and brush it off.]

It's nothing. I'm just being silly.

[Nozomi blinks, then smiles, giggling a bit. She quickly throws her front legs around Mami in a hug.]

Oh, it's alright. You were looking out for me and I just wanted to return the favor! That's what friends do!

[She doesn't realize how lonely Mami is - she just knows that she's bulldozed down a few walls to win over some friends in the past. In her mind, they were already friends!]

Mami just returns the hug with a smile. This would be when the tea is ready.]

[It takes awhile, but Nozomi does notice the tea being done.]

Um... I think it's ready.

Nozomi-san...?

[There's a familiar young unicorn on the scroll! ... Although when she first met Nozomi, she wasn't a crystal pony. She's apparently been taking advantage of that lake water lately.]

... You alright?

[They may not know each other extremely well yet, but this doesn't seem normal for someone like Nozomi.]

Huh? [It takes a few minutes for Nozomi to take notice as to who that is before it clicks...]

Rise? Is that you? [She looks around a bit before she answers the other girl's question.] Actually, no, I'm not. I blew it big time in that canoe event...

Yep, it's me!

[She's tempted to ask what Nozomi thinks of how she looks all sparkly, but she can save that for when the other girl doesn't look so depressed.]

You did? ... Was it really that bad?
