When Hayate appears on the scroll, she looks terrible. Her hair is even more of a spiky mess than usual, there are bags under her eyes, and most tellingly of all, her wings don't look obsessively preened - there are three feathers out of alignment. She opens her mouth to speak and is interrupted by a jaw-cracking yawn, which prompts her to grab what appears to be a tall Pumpkin Spice Latte from the local Starbucks and toss down the entire thing in one gulp before throwing the empty cup over her back to land on a massive pyramid of discarded coffee cups.

"So, uh, guys? That...that, y'know, the thingie where...where people were fallin' asleepy an' not wakin' upppp...."

A slight pause as she almost nods off mid-sentence before jerking awake and slamming down another PSL.

"Is...izzit over? C'n I go beddy now?"

"Ohhh, that'd be niiiice...c'n y' chain Bon-Bon t'me too?"

Hayate pauses for several long seconds, trying to remember what language is.

"D-don't tell 'er, but...I have a crush on her."

[Her voice is coming from a decent distance away from the scroll, almost as if she's talking from across the room. She also sounds... more than a little hyped up on caffeine and/or guarana.]

Hayate will just grin for a while.

"Y'sure? She's gotta be, like...a hunnerd or somethin'...s'a th' beauty of a mature mare she's got an' all..."

[Not even going to dignify that with a crack at Bonnie's age. Instead, she'll nod and add,] She's a classy mare that girl.

Nod nod.

"It was...'cause o' alchemy. Buy low, sell high!"

[She whistles, impressed.] Bonnie appreciates savvy businessmares after all!

Her cheering done with, Hayate simply stares at the scroll, smiling blankly.

Frankly it's probably only the fact that Hayate's...you know, immortal, that's keeping her...semi-lucid, instead of gibbering nonsense about lizard-ponies from Mares out to steal her thoughts.

"Y'sure? It's safe?"

"Definitely. Princess Luna solved everything. We'll be fine. Go ahead and get some rest."
