[Visual] -5th Shadow-
Hey Equestria...I got a question for you, mostly this is for the other outlanders like myself, but...anyone is free to weigh in here. I'd like the input.
How many of you use friendship, or similar bonds, as a source of strength for yourselves back home?
Some pretense to that...where I come from there are creatures called Digimon. I myself am half-digimon. Long story to that, but I won't bore you with the details right now. A digimon is a creature born of digital data, they are however highly receptive to emotions and can grow stronger as they grow closer to others, becoming stronger and stronger as those bonds mature and grow.
Emotions from those that we make friend with rub off on us, we can become stronger, or weaker because of it, or we can become too strong that we can't control ourselves.
[He rubs at his cheek with a hoof and sighs deeply.]
Not only digimon have exhibited this trait, though. There is another being called a Net Navi where I'm from, another digital life-form, this one artificially created by humans. There's an entire battle tournament surrounding them even. A Navi and their NetOp, when they have a strong enough bond, can create powerful combinations with battle chips. They can even fuse together, share the core of their beings with another, the NetNavi’s can even form friendships of their own that unlock hidden potentials...
[ He holds a hoof over his chest reflexively, almost like he was reassuring himself about something...]
The core of my question is how many of you have something similar back home? An undertone to that is how many of us have forgotten about that? That we've taken it for granted or just forgotten our own basics? This place works on its own rules. Just like those of NetNavis, or Digimon...working together, believing in one another...we’ve heard it a lot lately, and seen that here, it’s its own force to be reckoned with. Friendship. We’re all in this together, and if we're going to-
[He stops short and scoffs softly to himself.]
Sorry. Getting off track...Anyways...just something I’ve been thinking about lately. If anyone would rather speak with me in person or private, you’re always welcome to call on me at the commune or approach me while I’m on duty in the Night Market.
---------------------
[A switch in the pony's demeanor, show's he looks far more tired than he may have been letting on.]
Hey, Dante...Vergil...I may I need your guys help with something. I dunno if you can, but I'd rather it be the two of you than others. I'd uh...rather speak somewhere off scroll, about it though. If you can, meet me at the Decanter.

[A short laugh of his own, well really more like a "Pbbhhft" with his lips.] Intense is right. Especially if you're the leader of the group. There's a lot of pressure you have to keep up, and you've gotta be a strong fighter and good with tactics.. And can't uh, can't let anyone... down.
[His ears flick back as a grimace crosses his face, looking for just a moment like he might be sick, complete with a little groan. Shouldn't be too hard to tell, Crmsn, you've got one of said leaders on the line.]
[Visual]
[he watches Jaune for a moment, listening to him describe the woes of being a leader. After a moment he smiles.]
Yeah, sounds about right. Guessin' that's you then huh? That kind of thinking will become less and less eventually. It'll always be there mind...but you pay it less attention.
[Visual]
[Visual]
[There are some talents that just can't be explained. Knowing when something has no vowels seems to be one. He laughs a little.]
You shouldn't let it get to you so much. If you weren't, you wouldn't be the leader. Maybe you got the raw potential, or the talent, or quality that shows you understand what's going on around you and you make the right calls when it's necessary. Whatever the case is...I'm sure you'll do just fine.
[Visual]
[His words are a little quiet, but if Crmsn looks hard enough, there's a slight smile on his face.] You're sounding kinda like someone back home.
[Visual]
[He always thought that was the best part of making projects back at work. He smiles back at Jaune.]
Well they're smart then. Trust in yourself, and if you ever want a few pointers on tactics I'd be happy to talk them with you.
[Visual]
[His ears prick up straight.] Really??
[Visual]
[He grins wider.]
Course really. I wouldn't offer unless I meant it. Plus maybe you'll surprise yourself.
[Visual]
[He stopped and cleared his throat, then smiled, still obviously pleased.] Anything you'd be willing to help me with would be really appreciated, ah- [Blink.] Pony that I do not know.
[Visual]
[He blinked himself at the sudden realization and scoffed, rubbing at his face and sighing, talking to himself.]
You're such a dope sometimes...[He looks up at Jaune and gives his trademark smirk.] Sorry, my name's Crmsn. Like the color, sans the vowels.
[Visual]
[He flicked his mane back and smiled.] I'm Jaune. Like "John" but- [Short chuckle] -more vowels.
[Visual]
[He chuckled a little.]
Right on, Jaune. Well like I said, I'm happy to give you some lessons if you ever want. You can either find me around the commune or even at the Night Market, I usually work the morning-to-noon guard shift. And the scrolls of course, are the obvious third.
[Visual]
[He nodded in understanding.] Got it~ I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you.

There were a lot of reasons for it, but the naming thing came from one of the biggest: individuality. One of the sides in the war wanted to crush art, and expression, and freedom. So after the war, everyone... started naming their kids, and their kid's kids, after the biggest thing in art- color -to show they would always fight oppression.
So... that's why our names are like they are.
[Visual]
[He rubs at his face thoughtfully.]
Sounds like you and the people of your world are pretty fiery in spirit.
[Visual]
[A little snicker.] Especially this one girl on another team, her name's Yang. Lemme tell ya right now, don't get her mad or you'll regret it.
[Visual]
[He blinks, and laughs a little.] Sounds like a few people I know back home. My friend Roll has got one heckuva temper...[He actually does a small look over his shoulder...and sighs a little in relief before chuckling.] Don't tell'er I said that though.
[Visual]
[Then, a slight snicker.] Alright. Wonder if she is anything like Yang though. Seeing her get goin' is something else. Literally a fireball of rage.
[Visual]
[He laughs a little.] Yeah...sounds like Roll almost exactly. Her husband Rock always seems to get the brunt of it though.
[Visual]
[He snickered a little.] Yang doesn't have a husband that I'm aware of. But any Grimm around certainly get the force of her temper.
[Visual]
[The other comment gets a sharp laugh out of him.]
I bet Roll and Yang would get along swimmingly.
[Visual]
Yeah, I bet they would. It's sounding like they would.
[Visual]
Yeah? Damn, kids just starting younger an' younger these days. She sounds like someone you admire.
[He gives a lop sided grin.]
