Boy, that week was a real blast, huh? I think I'm gonna miss being Kyo-chan for awhile...

[He gives a dreamy sigh as he runs a paw through his own, short hair. Easy come, easy go. At the very least, maybe Kyouko will appreciate what he did to her hair.

But being nostalgic for the body swap event isn't the main reason why Teddie is addressing the scrolls this fine morning, oh no.

Anyway, once upon a time ago, I was like "OH YEAH, I'm totally gonna go to school 'cause that's the mature thing to do" and everyone was all "No Teddie, school's closed for the summer!" so Kyo-chan got me a job instead and it was really, REALLY fun!

But now it sounds like everybody's all going to school, even Nana-chan, and I'm starting to bearcome super jealous. I don't know what the heck I should be doing! My schedule's way too busy to fit in both work and school, I'd have to take out a nap and I don't wanna even think about dropping snack time. I dunno how Yosuke manages both...

So I guess my question is, what would you choose? And how much do turtle babysitters run for?

[ She snatches it back. ] Geez, what is this thing, like a drug ta ya? Leave some fur me, I need ta get this makeup off.

[ She splashes some water on her face with the gesture. The makeup's running again. He's taking too long and she's an impatient bear, so she abandons all pretext and jumps in the bath with him. Water splashes everywhere. ]

[The water plus the shampoo already on his face causes him to blow a large bubble the moment he opens his mouth again, the splash popping it soon enough. Soap is magic.]

You know it washes off in the sink, right?

[Not that he'd complain about her joining him.]

[ She grumbles in response, dunking her head under the water and scrubbing vigorously. She doesn't think bear will really mind if she joins him.

She comes up dripping and shakes water everywhere, so that it gets all over the walls. ] So, ya still hung up on school?

[If there's ever a good time to talk about school, your feelings, and your feelings about school, it's bath time.]

Uh huh, just a little.

[ She shrugs. ]

So le's do it.

[ Simple as that. ]

Huh, really?

[That fast?]

You...you wanna go with me?

[ She nods. ] Sure. I mean, not tha' I loved it before, but it can't be all bad, right?

I'll tell ya what, there's parts I didn' hate. [ Nodding as she says that causes her to squeeze shampoo in her eye. ] Ack!

Looks like you might need it.

[Because that was pretty dumb. That's okay, school can teach her shampoo in your eyes is bad. He bets there's a bath-related class, there just has to be.

There's classes for everything.

Grabbing a rag, he begins to wipe the soap out of her eyes.]

Ahh... [ She holds still while he cleans her eye out. ]

Yer prob'ly way overdue. How much stuff about... like, th'world an' stuff do ya not know about? S'gotta be a lot.

Well...let's see, it took me awhile to realize there's more to the world than just Japan.

[That was a fun day. Apparently the ocean has to do with that, still researching.]

And they've yet to make a train to take you to those places.

Okay. So yeah. Ya prob'ly need some pretty basic stuff. [ She frowns. ] Mebbe we should start ya at th'schoolhouse an' see how ya do.

[ She squeezes a dollop of shampoo onto his head and lathers up his hair for him. ]

[Yup, he definitely likes that. Which says a lot, because he's actually really annoyed right now. The dreamy smile makes it kinda hard to tell.]

I'm a man, Kyo-chan, I'm gonna go to high school like my friends.

[ She rolls her eyes as she scrubs. ] Ya still need ta learn basic geography, Teds. An' besides, I think Rise and Nanako are goin' ta th'Ponyville school.

Wow, I am really bad at this. I had no idea! Why would Rise-chan go to the kiddie school...?

[Nanako made total sense, but Rise went to high school just like everyone else. Did...did she need a refresher?]

I dunno. She's a filly now. Maybe th'age range there's kinda big. [ Guessing age of transformed residents is kind of confusing here. Non-transformed residents, too. ]

Wherever we go, bet we end up pretty popular. [ She gently headbutts him. ] Not too many bears who go ta school.
