What could possibly go wrong? [visual]
[Greetings! Just your resident green Earth Pony and she seems excited about something!]
Hey everybody! Happy Hearths Warming Day or whatever it's called. And yeah that probably came late.
So, hey! In my world we once had a day where we went to a ski lodge. It was soo much fun. If you were somehow in a world that didn't have the awesome experience, it's going down a hill with two skis on your feet and trying to go as fast as you can--WHOOOSH--down the hill!
Or...
[She turns to the side to what is no doubt a huge pile of dirt that has had snow piled onto it. Giving that image a second, the bowl-haired earth pony returns to view, beaming.] Maybe you can come and try it for yourself! I have two pairs of skiis waxed up and ready. Or you can be even more daring and try--THE SNOWBOARD.
[These "skiis" and the "snowboard" may just be two by fours and a plank of plywood that has been waxed up as though they were skiis...]

[If by testing them out you mean psych yourself out of actually doing it and watching a lone ski-by-four sliding down the snowpile...]

Maybe we should test them out first before doing anything. Someone could get hurt if we're not careful.

I worked hard on this, you know!

[But it's PLYWOOD]

[Seriously, what's the big deal??]

[Morgan leans in. Time for some straight talk.]
Look, I'll be blunt here... I've been looking forward to teaching my girlfriend how to snowboard since last year. I loved it back home, I'm good at it, and I want to share that with her... and even though she's tough and athletic and about as likely to get actually hurt as I am out there, that snowboard of yours scares the crap out of me. And I'm betting it doesn't reassure anyone else out there who might be considering it either.
So what say we work to get some better ones?

[Morgan just grins. A little sass never stopped him.]
Carpe diem, though. It's not too late.

[Her tone becomes almost mopey...] ...ugh... does it look that bad?
[She can be reasoned with.]

It...looks like a plank of wood.
[Not that it's not a good effort, it's definitely a step in the right direction?]

["I tried my best."]

(It totally is, but Sayaka's still pleased to hear from her.)
I guess I could give the snowboard a try? It looks like it'll be really fun!

[She's looking a bit deflated, but she's still happy to see her.]
You know, on second thought, the snowboard might not be safe...
no subject
(Sayaka's pretty sure it would be safe -for someone who had 2 legs and not 4.)

And I think there might be a guy that does, so we might have some actual ones being made soon, maybe?
I'm so sorry! I've been wrapped up in RL for weeks now since New Year's
So, basically only the skis are safe to use?
