After the new year I'm going up to Canterlot to check if there's a House of Enchanted Comic Books here. If there is, anypony want me to pick some up for them?

There should be a lot, and some of them are magic too. They pull the readers into the books and they have adventures inside them. I would have brought some but I left my school bag back in the other world.

The last time I checked, it was reasonably safe. You get superpowers in hero comics and stuff.

You should read with friends too, to make it better. That's how we always did it with enchanted fairy tale books.

Uh...be careful with those. My canon showed up here with that enchantment on it and it got a little rocky. You might wanna make sure there's a way out other than completing the story.

If you're sure. It just seems like it might be a nuisance, if you get stuck in a storyline you don't really care for.

As a guy who spent a while living inside a story world, soooometimes it's not so fun to be trying to fix a story you don't like. Spent enough time going back after Joe and making sure he didn't goof up fixing the things Gedow messed up...

[She hasn't been to Canterlot since they stalked Yu and Yukiko's date! It could be a fun trip!]

I don't see why not. I mean, it's barely a days round trip to the city and back again.

Yeah... okay! I'd love to come!

[Suddenly, she seems to remember something, and imperceptibly blushes just a bit.]

Oh... I'd have to let Yukiko-senpai know, so she doesn't worry. And I still have to go to school after vacation's over...

[Does Yayoi go to high school here, or is she even older than that? It's hard for Rise to tell with ponies. Either way, she probably wouldn't have invited her if it was going to interfere with school.]

Yeah, I need to sign up. I'm in my last year of junior high. I think the school for older students though is either distance, through the schoolhouse here or over in Canterlot.

[She hasn't yet, but she knows of the Academy back in Canterlot after all.]

[Oh yeah... the high school is over in Canterlot, isn't it? That's what she'd heard, at least. But she hears junior high and gets excited for a second.]

We might end up at the same school, then! [Then a pause, considering the different system in America Equestria.] I think the schools here are a little different, though. I should be a first year, but there's only one grade ahead of me.

[Going by her pony age, of course. No one but her friends from home knows there's a difference.]

Anyway, I'm sure Yukiko-senpai won't mind!

Probably on a slightly different system but yeah, I think that should do.

Awesome, we'll get together when we can and definitely have some fun as well. [Because there was always room for fun after all.]

After we get them, would you try one with me sometime, too? If they really do have them here...

[She's a little nervous about trying it out by herself for the first time. Also she seems to be implying that she'd want to go to Canterlot even if it turns out they don't have the comics. Why turn down a fun outing?]

Oh sure, it's always more fun with friends to do that with! And I hope so too. It wouldn't be as fun if the comics weren't enchanted to begin with.

[Cause y'know, there was always a lot of things to do after all with the potential of having a lot of fun with a comic storyline.]
