[There have been a lot of apologies going around since they'd managed to reforge the 'Fire of Friendship' to drive off the Windigos. Donna's been holding off, too embarrassed to join in the chorus, but there's really not a way to avoid it. At least she can limit the apology proper to the members of the commune. Everyone else? Well, there were a lot of people who could help with building.]

Hey, everybody. This is Donna Noble from the Ponyville Commune. We had some trouble recently and are looking for any help we can get to organize a building party. This isn't just for the commune, though, it's something I'd like to put together for something more regular in case any of us need the help. With everything we've faced since getting here, with as kind as the ponies in Ponyville are, I think we owe it to them to have some sort of, I dunno, on-call group. A bunch of us who'll come and fix something up if it gets knocked down in the latest invasion or whatever. If you'd like to help, please let me know. I'll be setting something up for the commune soon. I know the Agency needs some work for expansion, too, that we could see to helping with after that.

[Donna takes a deep breath before addressing the scroll this time.]

Donna, here, again. I just wanted to say everybody at the Commune that I'm sorry. I'm the one who half burned down the barn. I'll see to setting it right, help or not, but... I-I need to get ahold of the powers I've suddenly got. They're dangerous. I think I should probably leave for a bit until that's sorted. Plenty of nice caves in the Everfree. [Her smile is more half-hearted than she meant it to be.] I want to make sure the repairs happen, but after that, I'll see myself off just until I can figure out a little more control. Nephenee, I'm more than happy to keep track of the commune's finances still. Just might be a little more work communicating via scroll.

Oh right! I forgot about dad! He's... far away. And I don't usually, um, think about him very much, ahaha.

[Well, she can appreciate trying not to think about distant parents... and ones passed-on.]

Oh, that's sort of like me, but the other way round. Mum's a bit far, and Dad's passed on. Are you doing all right without your sister here, though? I know it can be hard turning up somewhere without anybody you know.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Oh, no way! Sis is a pain in my abdomen, let me tell you! Even though it would have been nice to have somebody familiar to be with, I'm MUCH happier that she isn't here.

[She may have said a bit TOO confidently.]

[That's some... pretty serious sibling rivalry right there. Donna's impression of a younger person solidifies.]

I'm sorry to hear about yours. Glad you're okay with everything, though. A lot of people aren't. I guess it's easier when you're still you, though. I used to be human... have you got those in Riveria.

Oh, sure! We have lots of them! Tall humans, big humans, tiny humans. I wouldn't go for the fat humans, though. I'm afraid I'm fresh out of humans to sell, though. Ha!

[Donna's pretty sure Butterfly is joking, so her tone is mock-indignant.]

And what's wrong with the fat humans, then?

Too much gristle and their meat is stringy! Besides, you are mostly paying for the pound and most of it is inedible.

[Donna appreciates gallows humor. She's British. It's in the blood. This is getting a little troubling coming from a butterfly, though.]

Well, y'know with fat it's meant to keep the flavor better. Do butterflies each humans where you're from, then? [It bears asking.]

No. I'm just messing with you.

[That's more of a relief than Donna's going to admit to.]

Y'know, you're the first butterfly I've ever met who talks and you're not quite what I expected. Are you just living out in the forest right now? Or at Fluttershy's cottage? You should come over for tea sometime.

You know, I think I'm more interested in hearing what those expectations were! That definitely sounds more interesting!

No, I'm living with Dust and Terra! They're lots of fun. And they keep me warm with all this snow on the ground.

I think I'll hit you up on tea, though! Do you have sugar water?

[Oh. Terra. This is a little awkward. Donna keeps her smile in place, though there's a slight wince to it now.]

I'm sure I could mix something up. We've got preserved fruits, too, if that's anything you could eat.

As for what I was expecting... well, there was this movie called Peter Pan and that had fairies with wings that were sort of like butterflies. I guess I was more expecting that. They were a bit short-tempered, so I'm glad you aren't really like that.
