Thank you everyone for what you said to them. It helped more than any of you can ever imagine. It gave the both of us courage to talk it through and decide on what to do.

That 'OT3' would just be filled with problems. All of what the original poster said about being on opposite sides of a war, plus with the fact that said friend also raised my older brother from the age of 12. We look almost alike and they did NOT get along...
