2nd Idea [Accidental Visual]
[With everything settling back down again, it should be the best time to relax. But it apparently was the opposite for Tadashi, who could be seen pacing around his room at the commune. His tail flicked with every turn, and the expression on his face was more agitated and troubled than normal for those who had seen him before.
Another passing turn had him pausing, finally noticing the scroll was open. And for a moment he almost seemed to glare at it, his hardened expression persisting as he debated whether to simply roll it up.
But it only lasted a moment before his expression softened, and he managed a small, if somewhat weary smile.]
Anyone feel like grabbing a drink?
...Or taking a walk. Or...something.
[It just seemed like he could use the company.]

[Action]
[Well, if he's not gonna buy the kid a drink, he might as well not judge about the candy...even if he does think he's eating a bit too much too fast
motherhen that he is.]That obvious, huh?
[Action]
Where I come from someone probably had a breakdown about once a month at the least so, yeah. Kind of easy to tell.
[Action]
[That might make this a bit easier to ask the next part.]
[Action]
[He takes a chocolate bar out and observes it, like he's looking at some rare find. He starts to take the wrapper off.]
Kind of just becomes the norm. Little that really surprises me anymore. I'm a guy whose seen it all.
[Action]
[Just give him a moment to consider his next question.]
You ever meet people who...who were dead, back where they came?
[Action]
All the time. Dead were suddenly alive there. And anyone who died in town came back to life, too.
[And buddy, people died a ton in Mayfield.]
How'd it happen? You even know?
[Action]
Yeah...there was a fire back home, before I came here. Tried to run in to help someone.
...Guess that was a bad idea.
[Action]
And then he eats the bar, just scarfs it down before replying again, mouth half full.]
....Sorry. That sucks. A lot.
[He's not the best at comfort, and he can't really...look at Tadashi as he says it. But he means it.]
[Action]
You okay?
[Action]
[He says it bluntly, standing up and dusting his suit off, looking at it, like it's the only thing that concerns him at the moment.]
How'd you find out? Someone from home during the weird bullcrap from last week?
[Action]
...Yeah. My younger brother, Hiro.
He...He was there when it happened...
[Action]
[Because he can understand the terror of a little brother being in trouble. THat's something he understands way to well.]
[Action]
[The word is a breath of relief as he says it.]
He...He wasn't the one in the building...thank god.
But he was standing outside when I ran in...and he saw when...when the building exploded...
Re: [Action]
Pokey was never the most empathetic boy to begin with, and though he was learning, he was still slow on the uptake. That he had seen so much death, had experienced death himself and seen his brother die or get hurt as many times as they had had, in its own way, dulled him to death was well.
He's just quiet for a moment, struggling to find something to say.
In the end, he just materializes a piece of candy and holds it out to Tadashi. It's infantile and dumb in his mind to even do so, and he feels like an idiot doing it. But he just can't think of words or anything else to express what he wants to.]
[Action]
Thanks.
[Because he knew how hard it could be to offer sympathy to someone. He knew sometimes there really were no words, nothing that could really bring comfort. But small gestures like this...they help a little.]
[Action]
Man. This last week sucked.
[At least for the most part.]
[Action]
Yeah, it hasn't been the greatest.
[Then he sighed, and if there was a smile on his face it was a bit distant and sad.]
I'm glad I got to see my brother again, though...
[Especially if it's the last time he ever would.]
Re: [Action]
[He just goes quiet again, silently chowing down on the snacks he has and can create for himself. It's incredible. Pokey was a master at talking. Really, it was hard to shut him up.
Why couldn't he talk now.]
Least there's that.
...Hey. Could get lucky. Might see him again someday.
[Action]
Yeah. I guess it's always possible.
[And for a moment he's about to continue, to say that there was always a chance that Hiro could come back to this world, this place. But he stops himself before he does.
That wouldn't be the only way, would it?]
[Action]
Last place I was in, I was there about a year before my little brother showed up.
It isn't great. But places like this have a weird way for crap like that to happen.
[He shrugs, before saying.]
Sometimes what you get is what you get.
[Action]
[It wasn't much. But it'd be something.]
[Action]
You know it's okay to be pissed off, right?
[Action]
Can't seem to get there.
[Action]
Burning to death sucks.
[Action]
I'll take your word for it...
