2nd Idea [Accidental Visual]

[With everything settling back down again, it should be the best time to relax. But it apparently was the opposite for Tadashi, who could be seen pacing around his room at the commune. His tail flicked with every turn, and the expression on his face was more agitated and troubled than normal for those who had seen him before.

Another passing turn had him pausing, finally noticing the scroll was open. And for a moment he almost seemed to glare at it, his hardened expression persisting as he debated whether to simply roll it up.

But it only lasted a moment before his expression softened, and he managed a small, if somewhat weary smile.]

Anyone feel like grabbing a drink?

...Or taking a walk. Or...something.

[It just seemed like he could use the company.]

Yeah, but if I'm inviting you along, might as well not go anyplace you might hate. I don't really have a destination, to be honest. You mind just walking around? [...Town, not in circles.]

[He nodded, falling in step alongside Tadashi as they started off.]

So, how've you been? You do all right when all that stuff was happening?

I stayed out of it, really. [He shrugged a bit.] I mean, the whole thing was interesting but...

It was a little busier than I usually like.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

[He stayed out of it too...if by that you mean he was helping ponies vacate the town and then getting floored by seeing his brother and robot creation from back home.]

Least you kept safe during all the fighting and stuff?

[scattered_rose]

That... [Telltale pause.] -I did not do.

I took him head on, I had to. 'Least I kept my magic. [Whatever magic he had, anyway.]

[Yeah that's safe.]

Just as long as you didn't get hurt, I guess.

[Please tell him at least that much.]

[scattered_rose]

No, I was fine.

I fight monsters for a living, Tadashi. 'Course I'd be fine.

Hey, you can be best at what you do, and there's still a chance of getting hurt. But yeah, that's good.

[scattered_rose]

You've got a point there. Nothing happened this time though, it was okay.

[notgivinguponyou]

[He nods.] Yeah...glad you made it through that all right.

[scattered_rose]

[He glanced at Tadashi a moment, then smiled.]

Thanks.

[He smiles, but it's more a curious one. He's not really sure what the thanks was for. But he doesn't ask, and they just keep walking as the silence stretches on for a moment.]

[For caring?

If Tadashi found the silence awkward, Daniel didn't do much about it. He seemed content to walk on, at least for a little while, without saying anything. Looked rather thoughtful, really.]

[Tadashi was mostly fine with the silence as well, but he did notice that Daniel's expression.]

Something on your mind?

[scattered_rose]

I guess.

Just... thinking about stuff. [He sighed softly.] Things I was doing, trying to plot out what to do first when I get back...

That kinda thing.

Yeah? What kinds of things?

[scattered_rose]

Well... I showed up here just after failing to find my parents or the adoption agent. So I've been spending some time trying to figure out my next move.

[His look soured some.] 'Course, it all kinda goes around on itself without actually being there, but... It makes me feel like I'm doing SOMETHING at least.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with trying to plan it out. Even if you've gotta chance some things when you do get back home, there's an idea there.

[scattered_rose]

[He mulled that over a moment, then nodded.]

You've got a point.

What're you thinking of doing? [Maybe he could help out a bit.]

[scattered_rose]

I was thinking of tracking down some of the others in some photos I have. Looks like my mom has a couple of siblings- [To judge by the intense similarities, anyway.] -so maybe that could be a lead.

That might be a good idea. If they're in the same place, that'd make it better. How're you gonna find them?

[He thought a moment, mulling it over.]

It'll be tough. I don't have any other their names, just my mom's.

They make like... family records and stuff though, right? I was thinking I might get lucky, get their names from that, then go from there.

Yeah, there should be records like that. If you could find your mom's birth records, you might be able to trace them down from there.
