2nd Idea [Accidental Visual]

[With everything settling back down again, it should be the best time to relax. But it apparently was the opposite for Tadashi, who could be seen pacing around his room at the commune. His tail flicked with every turn, and the expression on his face was more agitated and troubled than normal for those who had seen him before.

Another passing turn had him pausing, finally noticing the scroll was open. And for a moment he almost seemed to glare at it, his hardened expression persisting as he debated whether to simply roll it up.

But it only lasted a moment before his expression softened, and he managed a small, if somewhat weary smile.]

Anyone feel like grabbing a drink?

...Or taking a walk. Or...something.

[It just seemed like he could use the company.]

[She laughs softly and shakes her head.]

It's slightly higher end but I never said rare. I got plenty of it in storage so don't worry about payment.

Well, if you insist on a payment of some kind though, how about you tell what's troubling you. O-only if you're comfortable talking about it though. I wouldn't want to pressure you.

Well...if you're sure.

[Her request has him hesitating for a moment as he tried to think.]

It's...not that I mind, I guess. It's just...It's weird. I'm not even sure how to deal with it properly.

Sometimes having someone to talk it out helps.

[She gives him a small reassuring smile.]

Don't worry. I don't exactly look like it but I've been around the block and a few worlds before coming here. Also, anything said here will kept confidential unless you say so.

[Glancing up at her, he manages a bit of a weaker smile.]

[Still it takes him a moment to come up with the words.]

Back home...before I got here...I had been involved with a fire...

...You never made it back out in the end. I'm very sorry to hear that.

[She closes her eyes and nods.]

You're not the only here who has died in their home world. I can personally attest to that.

[Granted, she technically got better from being dead and upgraded to goddess. The pain of dying never really fades away completely even with time.]

[He nods a little.] Yeah...I had heard that before...

It's just...hearing it from my younger brother...

He came when we were in our original forms and we had guests?

[At the words mentioning a little brother, it looked like Saori's heart stopped for a second.]

It's definitely hard to hear it from your loved ones. Is he at least doing okay?

Unfortunately, I haven't heard from my own family. I've been swept up between worlds for close to three years now. To be honest, I'm not sure I could face my own little brother now after all these years.

[He nods.] Yeah...He told me how hard it had been for him at first...it had taken him a while to really cope.

After what happened to our parents -

[He cut himself off. That was more he didn't really want to get into right now.

Hearing about her had him reigning his own emotions back a bit.]

I'm sorry to hear that...

You lost your parents as well? We do have more in common than we think. I basically had to take care of my little brother since I was five after we lost our parents.

Sadly, he had gone missing before I had died. While my world has an afterlife and I spent a lot of time looking, I haven't found him.

Yeah...they were in an accident when I was younger.

That must be hard...

[He couldn't imagine...if he had to spend his afterlife looking for Hiro. If anything had happened to his brother...That would probably be worse than being dead.]

Yeah, it's been...oh geeze, I'm 98 and I died when I was 27. At this point, there's a chance he might've been reborn.

[She laughs sheepishly since she normally doesn't drop her age like that so casually.]

...Wow.

[He's...not really sure what else to say.]

Yeah...Of course there were a lot of other things that have been happening in between.

[Such as learning how to fight the supernatural, becoming a goddess and a mother. She takes a sip of her tea.]

Right. I didn't mean to sidetrack the conversation this much. Must be because I don't run into someone who's got a pretty similar situation.

[Sure Gaignun and Margulis died in their home world, but it was so different compared to how she died.]

No, it's all right.

[Hearing her talk about it actually did help making the idea a bit easier to deal with.]

To be honest, I thought the first world I was dropped into was the after life. It would've been easy to fall into despair at the fact I was dead. I fought back those thoughts though. Instead, I decided I was thrown into that world for a reason and it was mostly to have a second chance at life.

I used to spend whatever time outside of school to take care of my little brother, Akira. Heck, I even had fight for an exemption from my high school so I could get a part time job. Because of that, I didn't get to do a lot of things that typical kids do. I got so wrapped up in raising Akira that I kind of forgot about myself. I guess you could say that's my bad habit of putting others too much before myself but I've been working on that.

Mm...yeah, I can kind of get that.

After our parents died...I spent a lot of time helping out our aunt Cass with taking care of Hiro, as well as helping out at the cafe she owns. Between that and school, I was pretty busy.

When I got to college I still tried to help out...but I got a bit busy with some work I was doing on a project, that Hiro started getting away from me...He kind of fell into some bad stuff, so I'd been trying to get him back on the right track recently.

Before I left, it was looking good...He got accepted into the university I'm going at...and from what he told me, he's attending classes there now.
