U-Um... s-so I saw the arcade open yesterday... Wisteria - the other Fluttershy who lives at the cottage - and I saw it, and it looked so very crowded... s-so um... I don't think... I'll be going... s-sorry...

B-but, I'm curious... wh-what kind of 'games' does it have...? I-I've never... heard of an arcade before yesterday...

It kinda sucks; I'd just sit this one out if I were you.

Ugh. Trust me, a lot of them never played a game before? So I think it's mostly the novelty, but most of the stuff there's pretty mindless. And not in the good way.

If getting addicted to watching a bunch of dots kill each other isn't your thing, yeah, I'd recommend staying home.

I-I've heard... that video games can be fun... s-some of them, I mean...

B-but I don't think I'd want to watch something like that...

I'm not going either, if it makes you feel any better.

W-Well... I-I don't think me not wanting to go... should stop others from wanting to go, i-if they want to... I-It's just too crowded for me.

[It's not like Feena to say something like that, really. She's outgoing, so it's not really a big deal to be around a lot of people to her. But, after what happened recently, all she really wants to do lately is be alone.]

Mind control is a bit of a strong word...well, I'm sure somepony will deal with it.

O-Okay... [She figured he would, but that just couldn't erase the worry from her mind. Wisteria offered to go in her stead to look at it. If anything happened to her...]

Oh, don't look so glum. I know who's causing it, and he's HARDLY anything I can't handle.

R-Really? [He knew already? Well, he knew the arcade was full of mind-influencing cabinets. And she knew full well Discord was powerful. She had no reason not to trust him or his words.

She nods.] Okay... I trust you.

[By now it isn't a surprise that Fluttershy trusts him, but it's still a bit odd to hear a pony - any mortal thing, really - say that to him.]

I'm quite certain the place will be shut down soon enough. Offworlders do NOT, as a rule, put up with these things for long~

I'm not going in there either. I'm too busy with work and I got a bad vibe from the place when I walked by it yesterday.

[She she hadn't meant to overhear, but she listens a bit as Juniper makes the post on the scrolls before quietly announcing her presence by clearing her throat, not wanting to startle her.]

F-From...what I remember, there are all sorts of games at arcades...

[She rolls up her scroll and turns to face Wisteria.]

A-All sorts...? Are they all competitive...?

Mm...not all of them...Some of them can be, but others are just for light fun...

What kind of games are there...?

[She had to think a moment.]

W-Well...the one I remember there had been some...fighting games... [Those hadn't been too much fun.] Th-There are also sports games sometimes, though...and racing games...a-adventure games...th-things like that...

F-Fighting...? [They certainly don't sound fun.] S-so... they're like things we can do here... except they're not real...?

[She nodded.] Right...even though you're playing the characters, nothing's real...

So... why do people like them...? [She doesn't quite understand.] Wouldn't it be more fun to have adventures with your friends... and play sports with them?

Well... [How does she explain?] Sometimes it's fun to...just pretend too...Like...you know when little foals play make-believe, and they imagine themselves as somepony else...? Or they create big adventures and do a lot of sometimes impossible things...?

Video games can...kind of be like that...The worlds are already made for you, so it...can be easier to put yourself in it...A-And even if you're not good at something in real life, like sports...you can be good at them in video games...

Mm... yeah...

I-I guess... that makes sense... But you'd still have to... be in large crowds, from the looks of it... I-I do want to look, but... too many ponies...

Mm...w-well, at arcades you do...in other places there are...personal home video game systems...

[Thinking for a moment, she smiles.]

How about...I check it out for both of us...? I could...take a look, and let you know how it is...

I-If you want to... You don't have to do that if you don't want to... [Wisteria was still a Fluttershy - Juniper knew she'd probably still have the same issues that she had... but Juniper was still re-adjusting to things.]

[She nodded.] Mm...You can still play with friends on them...but you can also play alone if you wanted to...

Mm, I don't mind...I-It might be fun to check it out...

[Fluttershy though she was, she was easing herself to being around people. And she hadn't seen an arcade since being in the Digital World, so it might be nice.]

O-Okay... if you're sure... [She needed to try being more like Wisteria... if she could just get re-adjusted to Equestria and the off-worlders...]

B-Be careful...

[Another nod.] I will...If it's too busy there, I probably won't stay long...

Not a problem, there's other kinds. Artsy stuff. Fun stuff. Like Duck Pond. All you do is feed the ducks. The nice, sweet, innocent ducks.
