Helping out (for once) [Visual]

[It's sometime after Nightmare moon's speech about plunging the world into eternal darkness blah, blah, blah, etc. As everypony is currently freaking out, and or preparing for battle, Discord is doing his own thing as usual, sort of.

The visual shows that he's outside of Ponyville now, floating around the outskirts of the Everfree forest. Every so often he snaps his fingers and a sign bursts from the ground, some sort of warning imprinted on it. He does this a few more times in random places.]

So, are we enjoying ourselves? [He smirks at the scroll.] I don't suppose anypony was going to anyways, but if you were planning any camping trips, I wouldn't recommend going into the forest right now.

[Guess who's found herself at the outskirts of the forest. Judging by the way she was just standing there and fidgeting, though, she didn't have any real plans.]

Oh, I wasn't gonna go in yet! I just wanted to know where you were. [She still doesn't trust Discord very much, but this is her best chance at the moment...] Can you go get Twilight for us? The one who was in Zetta's castle?

Twilight is in the castle?

[Because demon summoning was really bad or something? Pinkie had never really seen why exactly.]

Reimu, a earth pony, is flying low to the ground, with 2 Ying Yang Balls orbiting herself.

She spots Discord and turns towards him]

Hmm, I've never seen an earth pony lazy enough to start floating everywhere.

Lazy? Flying is a common skill back where I am from. It's only natural I kept it here. Just took me some time to get used to using it in this new body.

Still, you could have just become a Pegasus instead. Not nearly as difficult.

[ Reimu's cutie mark starts to glow and A whole lot of red energy starts flying out or Reimu in a very pretty but complex pattern. However, Reimu seems to be only able to access the Easy mode version. Her powers are not all back yet.]

[Discord just watches as energy erupts from the earth pony in a strange pattern. He briefly thought about putting some music to it but.... nah.

Any of the energy that got near Discord would harmlessly begin circling him. Eventually it all floats into his hand and disappears. He stares at it for a moment]

Impressive...

H-hey, how did you do that?! How could you control my spellcard?!

Simple really.

I'm Discord. Does chaos really need to make sense?

Chaos is unpredictable, it's pure power than can't be bested unless its exact opposite is used against it. Harmony, if you were uninformed.

So... you really are just stopping people who cannot fight from going in? No ulterior motive at all?

But of course. Following the advice of... a friend, I have taken it upon myself to make sure that nopony that can't handle it, can't go into the forest.

You could say it's a test of sorts.

If those ponies are dumb enough to go after this creature when they obviously can't handle her... then they asked to get hurt.

They think they can.

Well, I must be off. Other ponies trying to get themselves in danger and all that. Ta ta!

[And he's gone in a flash of light.]

We might have no choice but to go into the forest. I don't know how else we'll reach the castle where Nightmare Moon is waiting.

I'm sure you bunch are allowed to go in. Not the commoners though.

What about you Discord? Do you think maybe you could help us this time?

I've chosen to stay out of most of the chaos for once. Don't want to accidently make things worse.

I'll always be within earshot though.
