[ Butch knows how to write, well, normally, at least. He doesn't really know how to write with hooves, even if he's spent his whole life more or less surrounded by horses. And he doesn't know or notice that he turns of the video feed is purely accidential. ]

Damnit, shit, that being a horse'd be this tricky---fuck! What am I supposed to do with this crap anyways? Like a one-line diary or something?

[ And then he notices that there's weird stuff happening with the scroll. ]

Woah, whatthe--!? Moving picture. Why is there a picture anyways? Why's it moving---how's it moving? Shit.

[ He tries to get to his guns but with not being used to this anatomy, he simply topples over ungracefully, and lets out a long string of rough curses. ]

This is not what I had intended to do today, goddamnit!

[ Silence. A long silence. And he reeled back. He did not expect that, okay? After a while, he's curiously back to peer down at the moving! image. ]

[ and he has not seen a talking horse before. Never mind that he is one himself now. So a lot of staring is included. ]

Err, sorry. [ He's not stupid, and if it's one thing he knows about, it's horse's body language. Even if he's never seen one so... expressive, before. ] It's just, the photo's moving. Photo's are a pretty new thing but I've never heard of moving ones..

Oh. Yeah, guess I can see where that'd be weird. [He feels just a little silly for reacting like that now.] We got somethin' like this back where I come from...lot fewer talkin' ponies, though.

Yeah, I'm used to horses, just not so colorful and talking. But I've only seen a camera a few times, so it's a bit... besides, there's no way there can be a camera around here! I can't see any! [ He knew how they looked, big boxes apparently annoying to be carrying around. ]

We all got turned into talkin' horses, and you're wonderin' how magic cameras exist?

Yeah. But hey, it can't be that weird. Just the month before I got here I ended up in some sorta dark fairy tale world, almost got eaten by a dragon, saw a big meta bird fly through a portal in the sky, and saw a guy get shot to salt. [ That was more wierd to him than being turned into a pony, actually. ]

[He arches an eyebrow, more impressed than disbelieving. After the crap he's been through, he's not one to accuse someone else of havin' an outlandish story.]

Yeah? Sounds rough.

[ He's an outlaw, all his life's been rough. ]

It can be pretty fun too, though. And at least I had Sundance along that time. It would've been fun to see his reaction to all this.

[ motioning to, well, everything around. ]

Hay, maybe he'll show up. Last time somethin' like this happened to me, people just kept appearin' outta nowhere the whole time. Think I've already seen a few new faces poppin' up around here.

I meant bein' sucked into another world - but actually yeah, this has happened before too. [He gestures vaguely at himself, in all his equineness.] Everyone turned back after about a week that time. Kinda doubt that'll happen here though.

Sounds interesting. [ And he looks like he really wants to know more. ] What makes it different this time?

Well, for one, there's already a bunch of ponies livin' here. It's like normal for this dimension; wouldn't really make sense for it to change us to match and then let us all just go back to bein' humans or whatever. [Geez, look at him goin' on like he knows all about this stuff. He really does spend too much time with sci-fi geeks.]

So, basically, being a horse is the standard here?

More or less. I did meet a zebra earlier...at least, I'm assumin' she wasn't just some kinda really stripey pony. She was a local anyway, I ain't seen anyone who turned into anythin' but this.

Zebra, that's a striped type'a horse, right? From some country that's not close to the U.S of A.

Africa, yeah. [Yeah, he knows it's a continent, but hay if he knows where exactly they live.]

You're from the U.S., too?

Right. Furthest from the U.S. I've been is Argentina so I've never seen one.

Ah, yeah. I take it you are as well?

Yep. I was on tour in Baltimore when I woke up here, in the year 2012. There's a couple others runnin' around, about the same time period.

[ Receive some ... long staring. ]

2012? Wow, that's damn far ahead. I'm from 1908. Do they still have easily-robbed banks?

[ And excuse him while he thinks you're talking about 'tour' as in 'robbing tour'. He knows nothing of any other type. ]

[Excuse him while he gives you a very odd look. From his point of view, that came completely out of nowhere.]

Huh? Did I say something weird? Sundance always says I say weird things but I didn't think I've said anything weird yet..

[ Very well, not every outlaw (he'll be convinced until told otherwise) wants to talk about it openly about their profession after all. ]

Oh, right! Name's Butch Cassidy, nice t'meet ya. What's yours?

[He would only be slightly offended. The name doesn't ring a bell right now, though later he probably would connect it with the mention of a Sundance.]

Harvey Finevoice. Nice meetin' you too.

[ Well that's good. Because he's likely to ask later. And it's not like he's expecting there to be more him in other worlds. Maybe he should, but he doesn't think of that. ]

Oh? I used to know a guy named Harvey once.

[ This far, this kid and Logan were a damn lot different, though. ]

Yeah, takes a hell of a lot of money to make the rockets and stuff to get up there, so pretty much all of it's bankrolled by the feds. I just happened to know a guy.

Then why do they even make'm? And what gives the tops rights? Just because they're up in the top? ...wait, they get the money outta the banks for it or how do they get the money? They don't pay for it themselves, right? It wouldn't be like those powerful people.

Pretty sure it's taxpayer money. [Said with the nonchalance of a man who rarely if ever actually pays them.]

I thought they removed income tax 1872. [ Not that he paid them either. Besides, income tax had been introduced only four years before he was born, and it wasn't like he knew much, since it was removed again after only ten years. ]

Did they? [Tax history is not his strong suit.] Well, they put it back sometime, they've had it my whole life.

At least from what I've been told. I was only a kid myself back then. They never had it during my life, unless they reintroduced it after I left the States.
