[Unlike other posts which appear automatically on your scrolls, this one is quite patient, seeming to wait for ponies to actually read it. When the scrolls are opened, though, the following message shows up in regal, well-calligraphied print:]

My fellow Equestrians!

Greetings to you all. I find the name 'newponies' to be slightly unpleasant, so I shall call you simply as you are: new citizens of Equestria. My name is Princess Luna, sister to Celestia and ruler of the night. Believe me when I say that I do indeed know your plight of finding yourself in a strange new world, a place where you do not know where you may fit in without finding trouble. However, my sister has told me that, more than anything, I will be of aid to many of you where she could not. I have had to rapidly adjust to modern society in Equestria, so while my troubles may not be identical to your own, I can certainly relate to your woes. If thou wouldst have any questions you wished to extend to the Canterlot court, then I shall do my best to answer them.

We trust that things are well in Ponyville, or wherever you may lay thy head at night?

[Luna has left the 'post' open for replies of all sorts, though she will generally be replying in writing.]

[Bertie's pain-staking with his writing when replying to royalty, so it takes a little longer for him to reply than it might otherwise.]

It's a privilege and a pleasure to make the acquaintance of another member of the Equestrian royalty, Your Highness. My name is Bertram Wooster, a stalwart representative of His Majesty King George V of England.

I realize this may be a very odd question, and you have my sincerest apologies if it's out of order, but would you happen to know if there's a Satellite in Canterlot?

My chum, Harvey Finevoice, mentioned that the last time he'd found himself far for home it was the controls aboard one of these mysterious marvels of machination that gave them a way back to their own worlds.
tinkertytonk: (are you sure?)

Well, it was worth a look in. I don't suppose you'd know if it might be Changelings at work? Ms. Flare Star mentioned a villainous sort of queen among their ranks, and then the Doctor said those were the ones likely to grab a bag of ponies from other worlds and biff them into some mad situation so their emotions are running like mad. The villainous sorts, I mean, in re: biffing.

If they aren't in Equestria, where are they lurking? Ms. Star seemed to think I might run into one if I wasn't careful.

Well, I'm happy to hear that! Puts the mind well at ease, Your Highness. Are there any other evil-doers you can think of who might have been able to do this? I'd have put odds on that Zetta fellow, but he seems to have as much idea what this world is about as the rest of us.

Or even less considering he thinks he can just take it over.

Well, with a name like 'Discord,' that seems a sensible sort of direction to cast suspicion in. Ms. Star said there were all sorts of frightful things out in this Everfree Forest. I don't suppose there might be answers in there to be found?

Or is that another case of her not being from this world properly?

The Everfree Forest is indeed dangerous, but the magics within are more the kind to change and distort creatures, not to bring them in from other lands.

Rest assured that we are taking all possibilities into consideration, however, Sir Wooster.

I just wish there were a way for me to assist, M'am. I don't suppose you might have any suggestions? I'm a pegasus, so I can fly about.

Do you really think it helps, M'am? I do try to keep the disposition sunny! Or, bright, as it were. The moon being a perfectly lovely complement to call on in that regard.

I did want to ask one other thing: Ms. Flare Star mentioned that you and Princess Celestia raise the sun and moon with magic. Seems awfully interesting. It all goes off on its own where I'm from, the switch from night to day and back again, I mean. Do you do it from Canterlot? It's just that I was wondering, and well, the Doctor and probably a fair few others, if we might be able to see that? You hoisting the thing up into the sky, I mean.

Jolly decent of you, M'am. I'm sure you must be busy, though, so please don't put yourself to any trouble. I can enjoy a marvelous moonlit stroll through the garden whether I can see how the moon got up there or not.

Thanks very. I'll try to keep the chin up and see about weaving a few ways to earn a bit into it all. Ms. Pinkie Pie seems to make the two work together well enough.

She most certainly does! In fact, speaking with the Element Bearers may be your best choice for figuring out the best way to strike out on your own hooves.

I think you've lost me, M'am. Element Bearers? I don't imagine you're talking the chemical sorts of elements?

Laughter? Oh! That's a jolly good fit for Ms. Pie. How many Elements of Harmony are there, though?

There are six amongst the ponies of Ponyville, the same six that freed myself from a quite unfortunate state some time ago.

[Technically there's a seventh, officially recognized as of the Changeling invasion, but... that's neither here nor there.]
tinkertytonk: (how YOU doin'?)

In something of an un-Harmonic situation, were you, M'am? I'm glad Ms. Pie was able to help you pull through. She didn't mention being a heroine, though! I'll have to ask her about it.

My thanks again for your help. The monarchs of Equestria seem awfully sporting when it comes to answering questions for the curious commoner.
