Giving Thanks For Loved Ones [Anonymous]

[The last few days have been interesting, to say the least, but this morning, when Ponyville awoke to find itself normal once more, sans a few ponies, it seemed, everyone (and we do mean everyone) would find small baskets at their doors. There's no sign of who might have left them, beyond a personalized note to each that was hoof-typed. Inside the baskets? Treats and goodies: cookies, candies, foods...if the mysterious benefactor knew preferences, those were there. In each instance, there's also a hoof-made scarf for the coming cold, in a variety of colors, all with cutie marks sewn in (if those weren't present, flowers or designs were instead).

For a select few, there are more personalized baskets, and those get to meet the mystery mare later in the day:]

To Ako: Ako's favorite donuts, cherries and mango pieces dipped in chocolate, cupcakes, some music related items, and a gold double-eighth note charm.
To Applejack: Cookies, Nephenee's own apple cider, lots of tasty foods, a voucher for hangout and lunch, Neph's treat, and a charm of an apple.
To Arcee: Lots of fishes, a nice kitty sweater, cookies, and a motorcycle charm.
To Bertie: Bitter candies, some of her shortbread cookies he likes so much, a nice blue tie, and a bee charm.
To Cadence: Teas, cookies, and a winged heart charm.
To Cirno: All her favorite goodies, some school supplies, things for her room, and a snowflake charm.
To Coco: Fashion books, flowers, cookies, and a needle and thread charm. She also get's Kreutzer's bow charm, and a small Kreutzer plushie.
To Dante: Fresh, chocolate-dipped strawberries, voucher for pizza and booze outing, and a charm of his dual pistols.
To Fluttershy (OU): Animal supplies, knitting books and supplies, some cookies, and a butterfly charm.
To Gwen: TEAS, some beauty supplies, and a boxing glove charm .
To Lethe: Fishies, whatever treats Lethe might like, stuff for her room in the upcoming house, and a bell charm.
To MayTwi: Teas, books, chocolates, coupons for hugs, and a star charm, like the stars in her Mark.
To Minato: Coffees, food prep items from Neighpon, some weapon care supplies, stuff for the house, and an engraved charm of the Fool card.
To Patchy: Teas, cookies, BOOKS, and a book charm with her sigil engraved on it.
To Rainbow Dash (AU): Cookies, Daring Do books, and stuff for the new house, along with a charm of her cutie mark .
To Virgil: Teas, books, cookies, and a charm of his sword.
To Yayoi: Pony science texts, teas and noshings from Neighpon, and a charm shaped like a plesiosaur.

All charms come along with a lance charm.

Today is a day for giving thanks, and I've given all the folks I'm thankful for baskets. But I realized you need one too, so here's a basket to show I care about you too. No matter what you've done, I believe everypony needs a friend, and I want to be one to you.

[She slapped her forehead with a hoof, but smiled at the basket anyway.]

You've been real busy picking up the slack, I see. Doesn't anypony ever give you a break?

[Skyfire wouldn't find the basket until well into the very late afternoon... After the last week and then the lousy day he'd had so far, it was a wonder that he was even up at all. He'd promised Billy that he'd not spend all night hiding and at least try to get out for a bit.

He starts to look and sniff around to see if he could catch a hint of who had left it.]

[Skyfire won't see the pony responsible, but he'll catch a familiar scent, one of earth and daisies and cinnamon and apple blossom...the last three are from a perfume, it seems, one worn often by a certain blue pony...]

[He blinks as he manages to figure out who the basket is from, and then spends a moment poking through it curiously. Really, he wasn't sure why she'd put it out here... Could it really be for him?

[Well, Violet certainly wasn't expecting this little surprise as she was about to step out of her room at the commune. Blinking, she picks up the basket, inspecting the various treats inside. Glancing around outside to see if the giver was still there, she then took the basket in.

Though part of her is a bit wary - never take things from strangers, and all that - it doesn't look dangerous. It was actually quite nice.

And seeing the purple scarf, she can't help smiling a bit, taking it out of the basket and wrapping it around her neck.]

[When Jaune woke up that morning, pretty much the last thing he expected was to trip over a basket, quite literally. Especially one that had been left for him.

He had looked around at the time, but there was nothing unusual around except his camp, and no sign of the pony that had left it. Picking up the contents of the basket gave him a pretty good chance to go through it-

And he stopped when he saw the scarf. Another quick look around and he sat down, pulling it up specially.]

[This was seriously awesome. It was wrapped around his neck, somewhat awkwardly, but he managed it. He continued to look at it with a warm smile, supporting the trailing end with one hoof. For an anonymous gift, it certainly looked like it meant a lot.]

[This is such a normal look for Fluttershy at this point that she smiles and doesn't really notice it as exceptionally odd in the grand scheme of things.]

Hiya, Fluttershy...If ya'll have me, sure.

[Since there's double the Fluttershy here, there's double the basket, just with one behind the other so it's hard to spot.]

[When she woke up that morning, Cirno was more then happy to be herself again. When she realized she was alone, the temperature around her dropped for just a moment, to get used to being cold once more. Not something she wanted but...Huh?

It took her long enough to notice the basket . She sits there, going through it with a slightly confused look. After going through it all, she stands and starts to look for Nephenee to see if she had a idea of what was going on. She had a slight clue but...Sometimes Cirno still didn't catch on quickly.]

[Luckily for Cirno, by the time she awakens, Nephenee's not far off, actually in the new house being built, where she's been working on the baskets. It's easy to find her, since even past the construction ponies working, the fairy should be able to hear her voice as she sings.]

[If Nephenee should come to the hill to check on the basket, she will find it is gone. As if it were never there. Even the grass seems undisturbed.

The only sign anypony had ever been there, are small white flecks of broken alabaster.]

[She did indeed come to check on the basket, and while she hoped to see it was gone, Nephenee was shocked by how unruffled the area was. The only recent hoofprints seemed to be her own...and even the grass was uncrushed. How strange...stranger still were those alabaster bits.]

[Carefully, Nephenee wraps them up in her cloak. When she has a moment, she'll talk to a few ponies about this.]

Ako was definitely looking forward to the cooler weather, as she shut her books and went out to the door. Stretching, she tilted her head at Nephenee that was coming up the walk. "Hey," she greeted.

Having just dropped her baskets for the Apples off, Ako was actually one of the next on the list, and Nephenee beamed as she stopped slowly, letting the wagon's inertia cease before lifting a hoof in greeting back. "Heya, Ako~ How are ya?"

[Recovering from the shock and jump back, Neph takes a moment to breathe, before laughing.]

So much for bein' sneaky 'bout these...[That's a big covered mass in that there wagon.] Can't out-sneak a Pinkie Pie, looks like!
