Well I sure as shit RSVPed. I mean hell if they're going to be so nice that they're gonna put me in their magazine a second time I'd be pretty damn rude of me not to. They're working their asses off to make me a star so I might as well grace them with my presence since they seem to want it so damn bad.

But hey, before we start deciding how we're going to burn their shit down - and I know this is going to sound hypocritical as hell of me - maybe we should try and play nice?

Look. These clowns want to see what we're like, right? So let's show them. Hell, even show them your rougher spots, you wanna. But don't show them the absolute worst you've got that isn't really part of you that they're trying to make in you. We've got an opportunity to prove who we are by going to this thing. So hell.

They wanna show us some movies? Let's go and watch their movies. We'll show them something else in return.

Seriously. Even if you aren't thinking of going right now? Consider it. It's gonna be a waste if you don't.

That's why they need to see us here. And they need to see us for who we are, good or bad. To see that there are parts of us to be worried about, but also parts that are wonderful.

Maybe even see how we can help each other.

That's all I'm trying to go for. That's all I want, to make that case.

The problem is, it's not just Canterlot. Celestia letting ponies into the dungeons underneath Canterlot's Royal Archives was a faux pas on a global scale, and that's just for starters. There's also the fact that we're getting ancient death myths from Stalliongrad into the mix, the near international incident with the griffon lands... Hoovesweek isn't fought more resolutely because honestly? Outside of Ponyville itself, a lot of people already think that way about us here. It'll take more than one night to change everyone's mind.

And that's why they're taking this bet. Even if everypony is on their best behavior, they lose nothing. If one of us slips up even a hair, they'll have the "conclusive proof" that makes their words ironclad, but they hardly need it.

[Another sigh, and then a slight shake of her head.]

Sorry, I'm not trying to say you shouldn't do this. It's important that you do. It's just... this fight isn't going to be won in a single battle. I hope everyone here is as stubborn as you are.

Might take more than one night, but one night is a start. Hell, even if we lose the battle here? I think we'll still be gaining ground. ...I'm not, like, trying to throw you into a shitfit or anything, but things here are probably gonna get worse for a while before they get better. But the important part is they do get better.

Hell. Most the ponies here are probably stubborn assholes beyond belief from what I've seen. And I mean hey, these jackoffs need to try harder they think they can beat me down. It's kind of a thing I do. I get knocked down, but I get up again. You never gonna keep me down.

[And then, without warning, she's singing.]
