I wouldn't do that. Not against me. [He mumbles.] The only person I've met that can beat me in a race is my brother, and that's only if I'm having a bad day. Speed is kind of... our thing.

[He gains a hesitant smirk in return, and nods.] Watch this. [As long as he stays on the ground he'll be fine, right? He steadies himself, closes his eyes, thinks of something absolutely terrifying to turn on his powers... and there he goes, running off at the speed of light, with a trail of dust behind him. Around in a huge circle, zigzagging near the end and screeching to a halt back in front of his scroll, all in about five seconds, give or take. Although he's breathing sort of heavy by the time he stops; he can't tap into the energy as easily without something real to run from.] I used to be in a school for teaching kids how to control powers like this. Until I ended up here, anyway.

A second later he has swerved into nearly everything in the area, and crash-landed into the ground before the dust from his take-off has a chance to settle.

[It takes him a second to return the wave, if only because he's trying to figure out which limb to wave with. It's a little more awkward a gesture between trying to balance on three legs and still not being sure if the gesture is legit.]

Yeah, pony names are like that. You'll get used to it really quickly. Also, don't worry about being a pony too much, just roll with your instincts. It's not any harder than being a human... at least, I'm guessing you were human.

I was a mutant. [He spreads his wings and fluffs up his fur and feathers as much as he can.] Like a human, except a little different. That's why I've got speed, it was my power. Along with some other stuff. [Lots of other stuff. He's one of those "way too powerful for his own good" types.]

Never heard of Xaveier Institute. Is it in the United States? Then again we might be from different worlds.... You don't happen to have superheroes in your world do you?

[He snorts.] It's in New York, and it's a school for mutants so that's probably why you haven't heard of it. [And then he tips his head to the side.] I guess mutants are kind of like superheroes. We've got powers and shit like in the comics. But some of us are supervillains, too. But I guess the government and humans are the main problem... I'm not sure exactly what they were up to, but the school got attacked a lot and my bo- my friend.. always looked really worried about it. [Whenever he let his guard down, anyway.]

Humans who ended up with superpowers? Yeah. We've got several alien heroes and villains but most of them are human uh... mutated or not- it varies. Sounds like we come from different worlds but similar ones. I'm from the Central City area in Missouri.

So... do you have a superpower then?

Missouri is a shit state, just so you know. [But don't take it personally because he seriously just hates America.]

My superpowers are speed and sound. And vibration, I guess. Mostly speed, I've got the most control on that. [Read: It's the only thing I have control at all on.] My little brother and I both have speed powers, actually. He's the only person I know that can race me.

Hell yeah. [He spreads his wings so he can puff up with pride.] I can go faster than a good car if I want to. [Or need to, more likely.] And I can vibrate my body and shit around me, I can blast shit with my voice, and... I was trying to teach myself how to make sounds louder or quieter but I'm crap at that so far, all I know is I can do that. Sort of.
