[He's perfectly okay if she wants to hang onto him a little while more, and he's especially okay with going to her place to bathe.

There's only one thing that concerns him...]

Are you gonna be okay going all that way? [Especially with a lack of leg.] I can give you a lift and we'll be there lickity split.

[ She begrudgingly admits that she is not especially good at being mobile right now. ] I'll be okay, just not the quickest. ... Wouldn' mind a lift.

[Good enough for him!]

Just call me the Teddie Taxi Service!

[Kamui is summoned instantly, who then uses his giant metal claws to scoop the both of them up in its arms like a shovel. This is exactly what a taxi isn't.]

You're gonna love this, hang onto your eyeball!

[Defying all logic, Kamui takes to the sky, because there's nothing more normal than a giant smiling bear that can fly. No one can say that this night was boring.]

[ ... It's probably about time Kyouko asks about him. She clings to Teddie, peering over the bear's arms to see the view below. ]

Pretty useful. How'd ya find this guy again?

[Oh right, maybe actually explaining your power is a good idea. Teddie's been too used to people just knowing what a Persona is.]

I didn't! A Persona's just kinda like a part of yourself. If you really think about it, he's just another me.

[There's no need to explain how he had to fight a manifestation of his inner demons to obtain it. No, that would kill the mood.]

Oh. [ She looks up at Kamui. ] Kinda quiet. Not that much like you at all.

[He looks up with her.]

Yeeeaaah, I don't think they talk all that much. All my pals have Personas, too, and I never once heard a peep from any of 'em.

[When Kamui finally lands, it softly sets them down before disappearing like it has many times before. Unlike Teddie, it doesn't need to wash off the undead rot stench from itself.]

[ Kyouko gets up on three hooves, using Teddie to balance herself. ] Least we don' haveta spend half an hour walkin' across Ponyville now. [ She pulls out her key and unlocks the door, letting them both in. ]

Ya gotta fill me in on what I missed the last week.

[Teddie has no problem being that support, grabbing up his bag and making sure he has everything before helping her inside. Last thing he needs is to leave something behind.]

Not a whole lot that I can think of. Then again, I wasn't paying too much attention... OH! I had some friends help out and fill in for you at work, just so you know. I bet they won't mind helping out just a tiny bit longer while you recover.

Oh, okay. I dunno how important that was, Bon Bon was doin' okay before we got there, but... good thinkin', anyway.

[ And at least this way, Teddie wasn't working by himself? She hates the thought of him all alone for a week. ]

[It was a tough week, and some wigs might have been purchased, but he survived.]

Ah! I can't WAIT to start working with you again! Heck, it's the only reason why I keep going in the first place. I figure if we're gonna be honest about our feelings, I might as well let you know that. Maybe Bon-chan will even make you special "WELCOME BACK" candy for being away for so long.

Yeah, of course. S'not just welcomin' me back, it'd be welcomin' us back as a team. [ She grins and tousles his ~~hair~~ head-fur. ] 'N honesty's good. Keep doin' that. I'll never fault ya for bein' honest, not if I can help it.

[ She makes her way over with him to the bathroom and turns on the faucet. Warm water causes steam to fill the room almost immediately. ]

[Watching Kyouko fill up the tub and the steam that follows it only causes Teddie's imagination to run wild. That's probably not the most innocent smile on his face as a hint of blush manages to sneak past the fur on his cheeks.

Thankfully those thoughts don't last very long when Kyouko refers to them as a team, which reminds him of something very important.]

That's right, Kyo-chan! If you disabear again, I wanna come with this time!

[ Slow down, Teds. Kyouko turns the faucet off with a snap. ]

Yeah. I shoulda done that last time, but... you know. [ She already went over that. ] I'll let ya know next time, and you can decide. ... If Jappleack doesn't come back, we might need to go in again.

[ She gestures to the bath. ] You first. Water's gonna be nasty after I get in.

[He can't move any faster to climb into that tub, looking about as happy as a...well, a bear in water. Right away some of that gunk begins to wash off, the remaining nastiness coming off with a good scrub. Who would've thought bears were clean freaks?]

Ohhhh, that's much better~

[His wet blonde hair...fur...top is all over his face by now, but he doesn't seem to care about his current lack of vision.]

I have a feeling even if there wasn't a reason to go back, you'd still go in there anyway. That's just how you are.

[ Kyouko grabs the sponge with her unsoiled hoof and scrubs at his back, getting the places he can't reach. ] ... I might, yeah. Th'aftermath is gross, but... The two things that suck the most are outwittin' the Pale Pony and bein' away from here for so long. First part might not be too bad the more we learn about her, and if ya came along, that... that might take care of the second part...

[The noise Teddie makes out of surprise is akin to the kind of noise someone would expect out of a real bear. At least it's different than his usual high pitched yelping... ]

I'm not so good at outwitting, I guess I'll just have to make up for the second part super hard.

[Now that he thinks about it, he didn't really ask what it's like in there. Wherever "in there" is.]

Heh. [ Kyouko drops the sponge into the water. ] Well, s'not so bad bein' away from Ponyville for so long if ya come along.

[ She's quiet for a moment, trying to decide if that sounds like guilt-tripping him into coming. Eventually deciding it doesn't. ] Ya just gotta know, s'a whole 'nother level of danger in there. Yer watchin' out for the Pale Pony all the time, an' her eyes appear in the sky ta look for ya if ya make a wrong move. When she figgered out we were in there, she sent hordes of ponies after us. Tha's why... [ her voice chokes ] ... tha's why we- Minako 'n' me were th'only ones ta come back.

[His first instinct is to tackle the sponge, bringing it below the water with him only to resurface with it in his mouth. Delicious.

Somehow he's still able to talk with it in there.]

That sounds a lot like a dungeon... Now I gotta go next time, you guys need a bigger party!

[Even if she was guilt tripping him, which she wasn't, he already agreed with himself that he needed to go next time around. Even if it's scary... and people get left behind... and there's horrible eyes constantly staring at you...]

[ Kyouko plucks the sponge out of his mouth and places it outside the bath. ] Kinda like a dungeon. Except... it's Ponyville.

Ya done yet? 'm gonna try ta get some more of this stuff off.

Sometimes the scariest dungeons are the ones that are most familiar.

[Grabbing some soap last minute, he gives himself one last scrub before doing a sniff test. Once he's satisfied with his own scent, he scrambles out of the tub and shakes himself off much like a dog would. Just like that, there's water everywhere.]

I suppose mademoiselle would like her privacy~? Lemme just grab a towel real quick...

Yer right abou' that...

[ Kyouko raises a hoof to shield her eyes from the water, grinning a little. ] S'just a bath. Not like I'm wearin' clothes anyway. [ She considers jumping in herself, but then ew, there'd be bloody water everywhere. So she just slides in and immerses herself in the water immediately. Even her soul gem, holding up her hair, goes in with her.

The water goes red almost immediately, matching Kyouko's hair, but it still makes her feel better. She jumps out almost as soon as she gets in. ] If I stay in, the water's gonna stain. Just wanted ta get a quick rinse.

[By time she's out, Teddie's drying his hair with a towel and grinning like an idiot. Not that a tub full of bloody water is anything worth smiling about, but sharing one of his favorite times--bath time--with someone he cares about delights him in a way he didn't know was possible.]

So water you gonna do now? [He snorts at his own dumb joke.] I can see that your body's getting better, but it looks like it's taking its sweet time. What a lazy bum! Are you gonna stay here for the rest of the night? I'm sure Sensei won't mind if I sleep over.

Yeah. Need some time ta rest. Yer welcome ta stay, of course. [ She drains the bathtub. ] If ya wanna, uh... c-... [ say it, Kyouko ] cuddle, or... anythin'... I think I got some extra blankets we can put between us so ya stay clean.

[ She's gonna have to get used to using that word, isn't she. ]

[Despite her struggle, the fact that she suggested it all on her own is enough to make his day.]

You-? Really?! You know it, let's do this! [He tosses the towel into the air.] I'll set the bed up and everything, wait right here!
