Long story short the Princesses told a demon to act like he was going to take over the world in order to lure out the actual bad guy. Nopony told us this so there was a lot of panic, anger, and hoofpointing at the end of it all. Then as part of the fallout somepony else went crazy and started to drag a bunch of ponies into a dream world to escape from all the problems here.

I think everything's calmed down now, though.
