[Sometime after the ponies wake up, scrolls and quills suddenly start raining from the sky. Don't worry, its not the ponypocalypse, its just a squadron of flying white ponies dropping them from above.

Once everyone receives one, the scrolls suddenly glow and come to life, its surface revealing the visage of a large white alicorn with rainbow hair and a golden crown, sitting on a large, velvet-upholstered throne. She has a calm, reassuring, regal smile on her face as she speaks, though those who know her better can see the light of worry and concern in her eyes.]

Good afternoon, newponies! I am Princess Celestia.

I've heard of your arrival in Ponyville and of some of the more interesting stories that have come from it. We're...not certain how this phenomenon has occurred, but we here at the royal castle will put our efforts into solving this mystery, and I hope you will help us out as we wish to help you out!

Rest assured, no harm will come to you. Nor, as some of you have worried, are we holding you against your will. On the contrary, you're free to move about Equestria as you please, be it through Ponyville, Los Pegasus or anywhere in between. I only request that you use the scrolls we have provided you to check in from time to time, so that we know where you might be when we figure out the solution to this current situation.

If you have any questions, you are free to ask them of me. If I am not available - and, I will admit, there are times when I can be quite busy - there are many other ponies willing to help you, including the other princesses of Equestria. We are all in this together, after all.

[And then she smiles a little more. Its a much more relaxed smile. The concern is still there, of course.]

But, in the meantime, I'd also like to get to know all of you! I always like to meet new people, after all. I hear we even have a dragon?

My sister, Princess Luna, and myself became the rulers of Equestria after we saved it from Discord, many years ago. We rule together, as well as raise and lower the sun and moon at the proper times during the day and night, as part of our duty.

[Wait, wait back up a second here. Did she just say raising and lowering the sun and moon? That, uh, well, that's certainly something absolutely special.]

Mm, so it was earned by an act of valor. Commendable, certainly and not far from what I am used to. Though I am curious as to just how it is possible for someone to control celestial bodies such as the sun and moon. [Even being able to reach them is out of her grasp, how strange.]

It is through the use of magic.

It is part of our ability to be capable of controlling the rising and setting one of both if necessary. Of course, before Princess Luna and I were foaled, it was tasked to a group of unicorns to raise each body, so we did not always do so.

... Magic. You're kidding, right? [Magic isn't really a practical concept by any means. But then again, if she spoke of chakra in any manner, it'd probably be called the same exact thing.

Even though she's still skeptical about it all.]

Magic is a concept only children use in order to explain something they do not understand, it... is something that can be explained away if investigated long enough. [So says the unicorn, she's not the best to have this argument.]

I'm afraid its the truth. Magic is a very important part of our lives! Indeed, it is what powers the scrolls which allow us to communicate to each other.

There has to be some reasonable explanation for this other than magic. [Just... just a tiny bit stubborn on the matter.] Certainly some of this I could probably explain away as harnessing chakra, but there is a reasonable explanation.

[She can tell! Not that she's forcing you to believe, she was just saying. Magical scrolls. Don't need much information, really. Unless she wishes to know Mulberry Mill, the inventor...]

Basically an energy in the body that can be harnessed and controlled to do various things from healing to destroying someone. It's a life force that everyone has inside but not everyone can control.

[That would... actually probably get her to stop asking and instead harass Mulberry Mill about it instead. So it's a double-edged sword.]

I see. That is what we call magic.

[Yeah, especially since Mulberry Mill would probably send Mito on a wild goose chase through the Royal Library to find the information in question, just to get her off of his back. He's a bit of an ~~jerk~~ introvert that way.]

Then it isn't magic in the way I was thinking it is. A form of chakra that manifests itself through a... channeling medium, am I correct in assuming that by the having horns thing?

[It'd probably end in her going back to him after all of that and showing him a piece of her mind. It wouldn't end well for anyone involved, of course.]

Yes, though a horn is not the only way to make magic.

[Yeah, she kind of figured. Which is why she'd really prefer not to go to that alternative. Someone would probably break a hoof or something.]

Mm? Then what other ways are there? I know with chakra all we needed to do was reach deep within ourselves in order to use it, is your magic in the same vein?

[Probably... worse... than that, but overall for the best. At least most of her annoyance has been turned down, more curious than anything else.]
