[The voices in her head were maddening. She was reminded of Mayfield and everything everyone went through. She'd gotten lucky with not getting hit with it and then, all of a sudden, she found herself being told to do (in her mind) horrible things in Princess Celestia's body... and nearly lost herself in the process. She finally found a way to get to sleep and, when she woke up, she found herself in a more familiar place - her home with Mako. Quickly getting up, she raced towards a mirror and looked at it.

It was her own face.]

I'm... I'm home. I'm... I'm Nozomi again! I'm... I'm Nozomi Yumehara. Nozomi Yumehara...! I'm... I'm...!

[She quickly raced out of the home and out into the open Commune, looking around.]

I'm... I'm me again! I'm... I'm...!

[Aaaaaand, her legs give out, folding her forelegs in front of her.]

Please tell me the voices are gone. Please?

Teddie
02 November 2014 @ 09:36 am
Boy, that week was a real blast, huh? I think I'm gonna miss being Kyo-chan for awhile...

[He gives a dreamy sigh as he runs a paw through his own, short hair. Easy come, easy go. At the very least, maybe Kyouko will appreciate what he did to her hair.

But being nostalgic for the body swap event isn't the main reason why Teddie is addressing the scrolls this fine morning, oh no.

This is business.]

Anyway, once upon a time ago, I was like "OH YEAH, I'm totally gonna go to school 'cause that's the mature thing to do" and everyone was all "No Teddie, school's closed for the summer!" so Kyo-chan got me a job instead and it was really, REALLY fun!

But now it sounds like everybody's all going to school, even Nana-chan, and I'm starting to bearcome super jealous. I don't know what the heck I should be doing! My schedule's way too busy to fit in both work and school, I'd have to take out a nap and I don't wanna even think about dropping snack time. I dunno how Yosuke manages both...

So I guess my question is, what would you choose? And how much do turtle babysitters run for?

Pyrrha Nikos
02 November 2014 @ 12:27 pm
[The scroll opens to a cream-colored pony with a bright red mane and vibrant green eyes. Now that she's gotten to look around a bit - and knowing that there are people she knows around - Pyrrha's a little more comfortable about making a post.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Pyrrha Nikos, and I've just arrived recently.

I'm still getting accustomed to everything, but I would like to do whatever I can to help here. And I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

Guys...I-I think...I think Rarity's gone...a-at least...one of them is, anyway...

I-I...I can't find her...a-and when I tried calling her scroll, I...I-I didn't get anything...

She's gone...

[But please, someone tell her that she's wrong.]

Cameron Frye
02 November 2014 @ 01:26 pm
[Here's Cameron again, he must be going off on another of his breakdowns again. Everyone clear for the earplugs.]

Hey everybody...there might have been some of you seeing Marty doing stuff that was...different.

[Shuffles uncomfortably.]

That was actually me. I don't know what came over me, I guess I really liked being someone else and I sorta went overboard with being Camarty.

Anyway, I wanna apologize to everyone and to Marty. Hopefully you don't have to kill me. [You know, LIKE THAT CAT.]

Also Marty, if you have any bumps on your head that's also my fault. Kind of..wore...sunglasses...at night...

Nephenee Knight

[The last few days have been interesting, to say the least, but this morning, when Ponyville awoke to find itself normal once more, sans a few ponies, it seemed, everyone (and we do mean everyone) would find small baskets at their doors. There's no sign of who might have left them, beyond a personalized note to each that was hoof-typed. Inside the baskets? Treats and goodies: cookies, candies, foods...if the mysterious benefactor knew preferences, those were there. In each instance, there's also a hoof-made scarf for the coming cold, in a variety of colors, all with cutie marks sewn in (if those weren't present, flowers or designs were instead).

For a select few, there are more personalized baskets, and those get to meet the mystery mare later in the day:

Margulis
02 November 2014 @ 07:49 pm
*The video opens on Margulis sitting on the edge of a desk, next to an impressively full bookshelf for how long he's been here. On the back of the desk, perfectly centered next to the wall, is a black sheathed wakizashi on a matching stand.*

I'm not going to bother adding to the chorus of people commenting on the last three days. In fact, what I'm here to talk about is more related to discussions I've had with a recently arrived... *He pauses, seeming to debate the appropriate word.* ...associate of mine.

I've noted both similarities and differences between this world's literature and that of my own, particularly those that have survived in the form of books. Given that this is the first world I've been to that didn't have Earth as a common point in history, it's left me curious.

What was literature like in your worlds, or those you've visited? I'm certain some themes and tropes are common among all cultures with a strong history of storytelling, but others may be different.

*He gives a faint but amused smirk.*

Not that I would be adverse to discussing themes in common or different takes on stories from Earth, either.
